Green Toysland announces new toys and stationery collection point at YoofHex in Causeway Bay

Green Toysland is a registered Social Enterprise and recognized by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Their aim is to encourage recycling of toys, promote environmental protection and spread happiness to underprivileged children and family. Share toy and share joy.

Their volunteers would pick up used toys and stationeries from donors, and donate them to lower income families, community and NGO. The more toys they collect, the more children would be benefited.

More than 30 organizations benefited from Green Toysland in the past: Principal Chan Free Tutorial World, SRACP, Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service, St Christopher’s Home, YWCA, The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, HKSJH Lady MacLehose Centre, Tin Shui Wan Community Development Network, Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, etc.

YoofHex, a newly established co-working space has recently joined hands with Green Toysland to provide a platform for collecting toys and stationery through the favorable location of Causeway Bay in hope that more people can donate generously.

YoofHex is committed to promoting a shared lifestyle and working style, providing shared offices, resources, office facilities, meeting rooms and event venues. The core value of YoofHex is to share the experience and share ideas through sharing spaces, so this is a great opportunity in this new year to share joy and toys with the less fortunate children. Together, YoofHex and Green Toysland aim to let more people understand the sharing concept while promoting the importance of environmental protection by toy recycling.

We encourage toys and stationery donation to be delivered to 15/F of YoofHex at the reception. Each week, YoofHex will hand over the collected donation to Green Toysland volunteers to be distributed to the family and institutions in need afterwards.

By creating communities that appreciate the impact of sharing resources towards building a more sustainable lifestyle, we all contribute to a better future.

YoofHex is located on Leighton Road in the heart of Causeway Bay and is adjacent to the MTR Causeway Bay Station exit, just a five minute walk away. Donations can be made from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, from now until April 30, 2019.
