Capture the Winds of Prosperity at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa

Sunway Resort Hotel & SPA is back to surprise us with its “Winds of Prosperity” cuisines. The promotion for the Resorts Café for this upcoming CNY promotion starting from 21st January to 19th February 2019.


At The Resort Cafe, get a chance to enjoy a specially curated recipes and auspicious dishes and reunion dinner menus and yee sang selections for a joyous reunion at the restaurant prepared by the Executive Chef Peter Lee and his team, inspired by the deep-rooted traditions of reunion dinners and gatherings for diners.

Get your tossed of prosperity here at The Resort Café where one will definitely enjoy their wide choices of yee sang here. Tossed your prosperity with their freshly shredded vegetables and variety choices of seafood.  Some of their selection includes the Crispy Shrimp & Snow Pear, Salmon & Snow Pear, Alaskan Scallop & Crispy Salmon Skin, Fresh Salmon & Soft-Shell Crab and Cooked Lobster. The yee sang are freshly prepared daily, with a selection of sauces including the signature Plum Sauce and Wasabi Sauce, or choose one of the new flavours such as the fresh Avocado Plum Sauce or sweet and tangy Rojak Plum Sauce.

They are priced at RM148 to RM228 for full portion and from RM88 to RM118 for half portion servings. Available for both dine-in and takeaway from 21 January to 19 February 2019.

Moving next, one can enjoy the hearty bowl of soup which is the Double Boiled Chicken Broth with Antler Mushroom, Hokkaido Dried Scallop and Fish Maw. The bowl of soup comes awesomely delicious and packed with flavours too.  I am perfectly in love with the flavours of the soup which is just nice and the aromatic mushroomy taste.

Deep Fried Chicken Slices with Cranberry Sauce and Chicken Roulade with Ma Lat Paste

Duo Variety dishes which is both the Deep Fried Chicken Slices with Cranberry Sauce and Chicken Roulade with Ma Lat Paste . I love their deep-fried chicken slices with the cranberry sauce where they come simply appetizing while the chicken roulade with the Ma Lat Paste brings us with the light kick and umph!

Crystal Prawn Meat with Golden Sand and Pine Nuts

Fill up your tummy with the deliciously prepared Crystal Prawn Meat. The prawns come simply fresh and I love the bites of it especially with some little pine nuts together.

Braised South Africa Abalone and Money Bags with Black Garlic Sauce

Filled up your year and get prosperity delights here with the Braised South Africa Abalone and Money Bags with Black Garlic Sauce. The awesomely prepared dish comes just perfect and good and of course with the money bag that added to it; many will definitely be falling in love with this.



Waxed Meat Rice in Claypot

We also have the waxed meat rice that comes packed with the generous ingredients on top. Yummz.

Chilled Lemongrass Jelly and Sun-dried Persimmon Syrup

We ended with their Chilled Lemongrass Jelly and Sun-dried Persimmon Syrup that is just perfect after a heavy meal .

For those who are looking for a more private dining, you can go for their course meal set where they have two 8-course set menus available, priced at RM2,200 nett and RM2,500 nett per table of 10 persons respectively.

Some of the unique dishes includes the “Shunde” Style Braised Seafood Soup topped with Lobster Oil, Rock Melon Consommé with Dried Agaricus Mushroom, Hokkaido Scallop and Sea Conch, Roasted Chicken with Home-made “Ma Lat” Paste and Pumpkin Pickles, Steamed Dragon Tiger Grouper with Golden Papaya Pumpkin Broth and Crispy Fried Stuffed Shell Crab with Glutinous Rice. And they are available for a minimum  five tables (10 person each table) will be required. Available from 5 January to 28 February 2019.

For Lunar New Year, The Resort Café, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant will be putting out an auspicious lunch and buffet dinner. Some of the selection available includes Crispy Fried Soft-Shell Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk, Deep Fried Barramundi Belly with Nam Yee Sauce, Chinese Herbs Braised Lamb Loin, Herbal Chicken Drumstick, Yam Abacus Seed, Roasted Duck, Braised Lion Head (Meatball) Dumpling, a variety of noodle dishes, fried rice and much more.

They will be also the festive steamboat on the dinner buffet spread which will feature 48 condiments to select from and 16 home-made sauces on rotation to dip into along with numerous other toppings.

It will be available from 21 January to 19 February 2019.

21 January – 19 February Dinner (except 4 February): RM138 nett per adult, RM98 nett per senior citizen and RM78 nett per child.
 5 – 6 February Lunch: RM98 nett per adult and RM68 nett per child.
