Chao Shan Taste @ Kuchai Lama

December 17, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Chao Shan Taste is one of the shop we visited recently. The 3 storey restaurants bring you with the authentic ChaoShan Cuisine that will definitely make you return for more. And their signatures incudes the Braised Goose and Live Seafood Clay Pot Porridge.  And in here, they have come up with wide choices of Chao Shan Dishes that you definitely brings you back for more selection.

And in here, the restaurant have hired a ChaoShan’s chef which has more than 15 years of experience in cooking ChaoShan’s cuisine. According to their Head Chef, Chef Chen “Making Chao Shan dishes is never easy. It needs loads of patience and to ensure providing you with the quality and authentic flavours, there is no short – cut. We need to follow each of the steps accordingly making sure you get the right flavours”. Adding to it, Chef Chen says “ Chao Shan dishes bring the 2 main flavours which is sweet and salty and this dishes are perfectly balanced together”

Live Crab Porridge ( RM 78 (S) | RM 108 (M)| RM 128 ( L)
One of the signatures in Chao Shan is of course their porridge. Their brooth are being cooked for hours ensuring that they are deliciously served to the table. And in here, one can choose their selection of porridge where they have Frog Porridge, Oyster Porridge, Live Crab Porridge, Live Lobster Porridge and many more. The porridge comes velvety delicious with the aromatic taste in it. They are just so good and I could not resist for the second bowl.

Authentic Chao Shan Brined Platter (RM 68 (S)| RM 98 (L))
Nothing will go wrong when you have your porridge together with their Brined Items. And in here,  you can choose to order their Platter Set ( Authentic ChaoShan Bried Platter) where they are served with their signature brin items. Some of the signatures includes the Brined Pork Intestine, Brined Pork Leg, Brined Goose Meat, Bruined Pork Belly, Brined Tofu and Egg and many more. You can have then in ala-carte or set.

ChaoShan Oyster Egg (RM 18 (S) |RM 28 (L))
Grab this authentic Chao Shan Oyster Egg where the egg is stir fried together with the pulpy oysters. The dish comes impressively good and fluffy. Simply aromatic.

Fried Clams with Taucu Sauce (RM 32(S)) | RM 42 (L))
Filled up your tummy with the fresh clams with the taucu sauce. The clams comes pluppy and what I love they are well clean and you could not taste any sand in the clams. It is well- fried till perfection leaving you with the aromatic hint of taucu sauce.

Special Marinated Pork (RM 35)
The special marinated pork comes crispy and juicy too. We love how the dish is done where the pork is well marinated with the Chef Signature ingredient. It is then deep fried leaving you with the crispy bites. Awesome-licious.

We also have their Beef Ball Cooked with White Radish ( RM 22 (S) | RM 32 (L)). The Beef Ball comes simply juicy and bouncy which becomes one of the crowd favorites.

Beer Duck (RM 28.00)
The Beer Duck is addictively good. The dish comes impressively good and the duck remains its juiciness.

Ends your meals with some of their signature vegetables Chinese Lettuce with Black Bean, Fried Hong Kong Kailan, Seafood Mix Vegetables and more.

Ends your meal with the Chao Shan Signature “ Baked Corn Cake” that will definitely is an eye – opening. The corn cake is addictively good and one of the signature in their restaurant.
For those who love to try the Chao Shan Dishes, Chao Shan Taste is of course your selection.
