SPECIAL GUEST CHEF FROM THAILAND TO HIGHLIGHT NOOK’S TANTALISINGLY THAI PROMOTION IN SEPTEMBER

Nook, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s all-day dining restaurant will present a month-long promotion of Thai food with its ‘Tantalisingly Thai’ dinner buffet, headlined by Special Guest Chef, Burin Pongchang from Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok, from 3-30 September 2018.

The Tantalisingly Thai promotion will feature Chef Burin’s authentic Thai cuisine dishes on its buffet. A well-seasoned chef with almost 30 years of experience under his chef’s hat, he will be serving up a variety of his specialty dishes with the assistance the dedicated culinary team at Nook.  The buffet offering will be priced at RM118 nett per person for a buffet dinner spread.

The buffet will showcase a variety of dishes ranging from appetisers to desserts on two different menus which will be offered on a rotational basis for the buffet.

 

Chef Burin’s menu of appetisers will offer diners Labb Gai (spicy minced chicken salad), Som Tum Pol La Mai (Thai fruit salad), Yum Woonsen Thalay (spicy vermicelli salad with seafood) and more with Chef Burin preparing two versions of the infamous Tom Yum soups, Tom Yum Goong (spicy and sour prawns), and Tom Kha Gai (chicken and galangal shoot in coconut milk soup).

The dining experience at Nook for the ‘Tantalisingly Thai’ promotion would not be complete without some Thai curries so guests will be treated to an array of curries ranging from Kaeng Kiew Wan Gai (chicken in green curry), Goong Makham (deep-fried prawn with tamarind sauce), Pla Sam Rod (deep-fried fish topped with sweet, sour and hot sauce), Kaeng Phed Nua (beef in red curry) and more.

The spread will also include the infamous Pad Thai, almost everyone’s favourite wok-fried rice noodle and Pad Kee Mow (stir-fried rice noodle with hot basil) as part of Chef Burin’s noodle offerings.

To sweeten things up at the end of the spread is Chef Burin’s dessert offerings. The dessert specials will include Tab Tim Grob (red ruby water chestnut in coconut milk), Kaeng Buad Fak Thong (pumpkin in stewed coconut milk), Kluay Cheum (banana in syrup), Mun Cheum (sweet potato in syrup), Sakoo Tua Dam (sago ball with black bean and coconut milk) and Kluay Buad Chee (banana in stewed coconut milk).

Chef Burin’s Thai menu will also be offered by Aloft’s food truck, Re:fuel On Wheels, for lunch between 11.30am to 2.30pm from Monday to Friday for the month of September. Stationed at the Hotel’s porte cochère along Jalan Stesen Sentral, passer-bys and diners have the option of trying out Chef Burin’s food truck version of of the Labb Gai (Thai spicy minced chicken salad), Kaeng Mussaman Nua (massaman curry with beef), Por Pia Pak (vegetable spring roll) and Kaeng Phed Nua (beef in red curry).

Nook’s ‘Tantalisingly Thai’ buffet is priced at RM118 nett per adult and RM59 nett for kids aged 6-12 years old and is available from 3 – 30 September 2018 daily for dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.
