SPECIAL CHINESE CULINARY COLLABORATION BETWEEN SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, XI’AN AND SHANGRI- LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

How about some la-mian? 

 

And now Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur brings you with their delicious la-mian promotion this round which will be from 25 September 2018 till 3 October 2018. And for this round, Chef Wang who is from Shangri-La Xian welcome you with the authentic la mian prepared in-house to serve your taste buds.

Chef Wang who is now with Shangri-La Hotel Xian is one of the chefs with more than 20 years experience in la-mian making. The chef started his career at Bell Tower Hotel, Xi’an in 1989 studying Shaanxi local dishes as well as Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines. He worked his way up the ranks and became a service leader for the Chinese Kitchen in 1998. In the same year, Chef Wang moved on to work with Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel, Xi’an, specializing in local dishes and preparing Dim Sum for functions and events until 2007. A year later, Chef Wang continued his culinary journey at Shangri-La Hotel, Xi’an as a Guest Service Leader at Yi Café Kitchen and he has been contributing to the success of the restaurant since then.

And for those who are now aware, La-Mian is originated from China and the method of making La-Mian includes twisting, stretching and folding the dough into strands, using the weight of the dough. And this is indeed an art not to be missed.  And this time around, the la mian promotion will be bringing you 8 choices of la-mian.

Hand Pulled Noodles with Braised Beef Soup (RM 160) 
The hand pulled la-mian soaked in the flavourful broth which is cooked for hours. The broth comes simply flavourful with the robust flavours. And what’s more is you will have the tender moist beef which is perfectly marinated and braised for hours in it.



Spicy Biang Biang Noodles (RM 38) 
If you are fans of spicy food, you can go for this where the la mian is being cooked and add on with the kick of spiciness in it. Enjoy the aromatic and the kick of spiciness of the la mian in it.

Dry Noodles with Tomato and Eggs (RM 38) 
Using the technique of knives cut noodles, one can enjoy the slurpy velvety noodles here. It is such a comfort dish to go for where one can taste the sourish blend from the tomato with the eggs on top. This is such a tummy comfort dish to go for.


Sliced Noodles with Braised Lamb Gravy (RM 160) 
Enjoy the delicious sliced noodles is perfectly absorb all the flavours from the lamb gravy. The lamb meat is beautifully minced and every bite has the kick of spiciness in it.



Lobster Sour Noodles Soup (RM 252)
The lobster sour noodles soup is one of the highlights. For those who are looking for some luxury to the la mian, go for the Lobster Sour Noodles. The noodles come simply delicious with the added vinegar, salt and chillies in it. Love the flavours of the noodles itself.


Why not visit Shang Palace for this luxury treats now. Shang Palace opens for lunch between Monday to Saturday at 12 pm – 2.30 pm.
