FEEL THE TRUE TASTE OF ‘RASA IBU’ THIS IFTAR AT VIVATEL KUALA LUMPUR

This year, Vivatel Kuala Lumpur welcomes the holy month of Ramadhan with an extravagant spread of over 150 local and international delights in their all-day dining outlet, Retro Café. Endeavouring to evoke fond memories of mom’s love through carefully recreating all-time favourite comfort dishes, guests are invited to savour the whiff of nostalgia at the ‘Rasa Ibu’-themed Ramadhan buffet.

“Ramadhan is a special time of the year for families, friends and the loved ones to get together and create unforgettable memories. We are honoured to be your host this year and warmly welcome all diners to gather for this month-long annual fast-breaking occasion at our hotel and enjoy the lovingly prepared delights, sure to tantalize your taste buds,” said Nasir Ismail, General Manager of Vivatel Kuala Lumpur.

Retro Café’s team of chefs led by Executve Chef Ashar Daud, who is backed by over 25 years of experience in renowned hotels and will be whipping up a buffet spread that boasts a plethora of authentic specialities presented with the inspiration of mom’s cooking.

Commenting on the theme of ‘Rasa Ibu’, Chef Ashar said, “Why do people always prefer mom’s cooking? It is because, the secret ingredients are passion and love. Here at Vivatel Kuala Lumpur, our team believes in creating each and every dish, with passion and love. With the aim of strengthening bonding moments for family and friends, especially during this fasting month, we endeavour to deliver treasured loving moments in our buffet preparation, for our guests to savour and enjoy the dining experience with a touch of love.”

The scrumptious buffet spread is available from 6.30pm to 10.00pm daily, from 18 May until 13 June 2018, at Retro Café, Lobby Level of Vivatel Kuala Lumpur. The chefs team have curated a selection of mouth-watering recipes, such as resplendent Malay dishes of Sup Gear Box Kambing, Kambing Panggang, Fish Head Curry, Nasi Kandar Telur as well as the not-to-be-missed, decadent treats of Bubur and Pengat, Cream Caramel, and Sago Gula Melaka.

“Watch our team cook-up at the live cooking statons, which will serve more than 25 delicacies, such as Asam Pedas, Fish Head Curry, Air Cendol Durian, Air Kelapa Muda, Steamed Pulut Manga, Patin Tempoyak, Kacang Tanah Kukus, Pie Tie Cup and Shawarma Machine, to name a few,” added Chef Ashar.

Commemorating this holy month of Ramadhan, Vivatel Kuala Lumpur also hosts a ‘Buka Puasa’ dinner for over 40 underprivileged children from Baitul Ulfah Centre. Collaboratng with APES Holiday, the children also received Duit Raya and gif from the management team. In additon, a local celebrity, Irene Catalina, who is the ambassador of Fabulous Empire, one of the hotel’s partners, making a special appearance through singing performance, followed by Nasyid Performance by the children, celebrating the Ramadhan night together at Retro Cafe, with corporate and government guests.

The Ramadhan Bufet ‘Rasa Ibu’ Promotion is priced at RM98 net per adult, RM78 net per child
