According to our state tourists planning and records, the target is to lure 400,000 Arab visitors to State of Selangor in 2018. Previously, the state-tourism statistic is eyeing 360,749 visitors from middle-east.

“One of our objectives in Dubai is to promote Selangor as a top-of-mind tourist destination as well as strengthen our marketing and promotional activities. The business travel opportunities with their foreign counterparts, as well as sharing with them Selangor’s latest tourism developments will definitely help generate more publicity for Selangor” said Madam Noorul Ashikin Mohd Din, General Manager of Tourism Selangor.

Tourism Selangor will be launching “Selangor Arabic Tourist Handy Book 2018” in Arabic version during the product and media briefing at Tourism Malaysia Pavilion. The informative and interactive travel directory in Arabic language allows travellers from Middle East to find information on tourist destinations in Selangor.

Tourism Selangor returns to ATM this year with the state’s tourism trade players such as Sunway Lagoon, Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, and Palace of Golden Horses to promote some of the state’s latest attractions and destinations for shopping, family fun, eco adventure, golf, honeymoon, and luxury holidays.

In between a string of interviews wIth local and international media outlets, the General Manager of Tourism Selangor and respective delegates met up with the representatives of several Middle Eastern industrial players to discuss on collaborations to bring more tourists to Selangor.

“ATM 2018 is set to provide an excellent opportunity for Selangor to establish a wider network of contacts and to forge smart partnerships and cooperation with international airlines and the local tour operators. With competitive prices of holiday packages to Malaysia, high standards of service, modern facilities and infrastructure, as well as good flight connectivity, we believe that Selangor can offer travellers a truly memorable holiday.” She said.

Besides meetings, Tourism Selangor will be promoting the International Indigenous Arts Festival (SIIAF 2018), would continue to be high on the list of things to do among Arab travellers. It will give the guests a glimpse of what awaits them in this event this year.
