Awaken to Wellness. Vinyasa Flow Yoga at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

April 26, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Heavenly Spa by Westin™ continues to refine its signature Wellness Calendar by offering meaningful activities to inspire and engage healthy lifestyle seekers. The latest addition to this evolving program is private classes of Vinyasa Yoga led by Jitendra Pokhriyal, Wellness Specialist at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.

Vinyasa Yoga focuses on performing body movements in coordination with flowing breath work from one pose to the next. Now recognized as one of the most popular types of yoga in the world, it promotes fluid movement to increase stamina, strength and mental health. Utilizing carefully planned sequences, Vinyasa Yoga elevates heart rate and triggers light sweating to release toxins and assist weight loss.

Hailing from the birthplace of yoga in India, Jitendra’s role at the resort is to cultivate renewal. He is responsible for the Wellness Calendar at Heavenly Spa by Westin™, which is a thoughtfully crafted menu of interactive sessions to uplift body, mind and spirit. These encounters focus on holistic wellness and draw on Bali’s traditional healing practices.

Passionate about the history of yoga, Jitendra’s wide-ranging knowledge encompasses aspects such as the anatomy of posture and essential breathing techniques. As an accomplished instructor, he teaches groups and individuals based on proficiency. During these classes, Jitendra encourages participants to challenge themselves yet he is always mindful of personal limitations.

Apart from instructing a number of different yoga and meditation styles, Jitendra also conducts a series of regular Life Talks. He touches on universal subjects that are pertinent to embracing a healthier and happier way of life. A gentle soul with wisdom that belies his youth, Jitendra is always on hand to help guests achieve their lifestyle goals.

Preserving wellness in travel is key to how things are done at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. This concept is supported by various initiatives with Heavenly Spa by Westin™ at the forefront in promoting a better way of life. The introduction of Vinyasa Flow Yoga led by Jitendra stands to further enrich the resort’s Wellness Calendar.
