Discover Art for All the Senses with Cucina’s ‘Art on Plates’ and the Harbour Art Fair at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel in March

March 21, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Celebrate soul-stirring creativity during the annual Hong Kong Arts Month in March. The inspiring Harbour Art Fair organised by Harbour City, returns to Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel from 23-26 March. Bringing the art experience to new sensorial heights, Italian Chef de Cuisine Andrea Delzanno playfully showcases his culinary ‘Art on Plates’ during a masterful 4-course Italian dinner against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour at Cucina from 20-26 March. Diners enjoying the ‘Art on Plates’ special menu, or dining at Cafe Marco and the Lobby Lounge from 23-26 March with a spending of HK$1,000 or above, will be offered two complimentary admission tickets to the Harbour Art Fair*.

Complimentary Admission Tickets for Hotel Guests

Following last year’s hugely successful Habour Art Fair, Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel will once again house the large-scale Habour Art Fair from 23-26 March 2018. Gathering more than 50 emerging galleries from across Asia, with a special focus on Korean galleries this year, the Harbour Art Fair showcases an exciting variety of Asian contemporary artworks across different mediums, including photography, paintings and sculpture.

Fifty luxury guestrooms across the entire 12th floor of Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel have been transformed into an exciting contemporary art space exhibiting more than 100 boldly curated art works. Room 1215 and 1216 are the “15.16 ARTY Room” where guests can interact with the pieces in different artistic settings.

Guests staying at the hotel from 24-26 March 2018 will be offered two complimentary admission tickets per room to the Harbour Art Fair, creating a unique art travel experience. Tickets are on a first-come first-served basis. For more details, please visit the hotel website at marcopolohotels.com.

‘Art on Plates’ at Cucina Italian Restaurant

Embark on a uniquely creative ‘Art on Plates’ culinary journey with a 4-course Italian dinner by Chef Andrea at Cucina from 20-26 March. A starter of Seared Hokkaido Scallop with Avocado, Mango and Bell Peppers is beautifully presented on a painter’s palette with colourful splashes of dressing. Beetroot Risotto with Gorgonzola Sauce and Pistachio Powder depicts the joy of spring in its delightful pink hue paired with rich Italian blue cheese.

A main course of Beef Tenderloin with Artichoke Purée and Dehydrated Mozzarella looks too beautiful to eat – but you won’t want to miss the tender, savoury beef and earthy artichokes, a Roman favourite which is in season during March. A resplendent finale titled “The Nature” – Milk Chocolate, Vanilla Ice Cream, Yogurt and Strawberry Mousse is a whimsical dessert discovery through a tiny green forest of pistachio hazelnut sponge cake and crumble topped with ice cream and meringue.

Cucina’s ‘Art on Plates’ menu is priced at HK$888* per person, available during dinner from 20-26 March 2018.

Address: Level 6, Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
