TIME TO SHINE THE WESTIN RESORT NUSA DUA, BALI REVEALS ITS NEWLY ENHANCED LOBBY

February 9, 2018 By StrawberrY Gal - Hotel News Leave a Comment

To mark the final installment of a multi-million-dollar transformation that has been phased over the course of several years, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali proudly presents its new-look Lobby. This design-driven space has been totally enhanced to stimulate the senses and evoke a genuine feeling of arrival.

Conceptualized by FBEYE International, the Lobby is a welcoming garden of belonging where timber-clad pillars stand tall like a forest of aged trees. Light and airy, there is a distinct element of bringing nature inside through calming shades of color and the decorative use of floral motifs. The focal point of this renewed environment is two unique clusters of 820 crystalline glass ribbons delicately suspended from an elevated timber ceiling. These hand-blown fixtures mimic migrating flocks of birds as they seasonally fly north and south following the warmth of summer.

Visually appealing seating zones have been created to support the functionality of the Lobby as place to relax and connect in air-conditioned comfort. An extended reception area acts as a designated command center, while group check-ins are handled at a separate counter. A green feature wall provides a defining backdrop for the Heavenly Spa reservation desk. This niche also cleverly conceals a fun entertainment corner set up especially for kids.

Positioned towards the back is the refurbished Lobby Bar & Lounge where full-length glass panels create the effect of merging seamlessly with the resort’s tropical landscape. This venue provides the perfect setting for both business and casual meetings conducted over light refreshments. Westin’s signature afternoon tea is served here daily from 2PM onwards with an irresistible array of sweet and savory treats.

The unveiling of the Lobby coincides with the launch of Unwind, a meaningful ritual to acknowledge the transition from day to night. It involves inspiring activities, the dimming of lights and a subtle change in music to lull the body, mind and spirit into a state of relaxation.

Inspired by the concept of a “secret garden”, the Lobby channels the Westin brand philosophy of preserving wellness through travel. It is a nurturing space that engages guests and puts visitors immediately at ease. The Lobby is essentially the gateway to a vibrant beachfront retreat just waiting to be experienced.
