ONE WORLD HOTEL STAFF TOAST TO THEIR FIRST SUCCESSFUL DECADE

The management and staff of One World Hotel celebrated their annual dinner in style in conjunction with the hotel’s 10th Anniversary which took place at Ruby Ballroom recently. It was a fun-filled night as the employees came decked out in glamourous and finest outfits according to the theme, Grand 10. The event was attended by the directors YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ (Ir.) Teo Chiang Hong, YBhg Tan Sri Teo Chiang Kok and YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) Teo Chiang Liang together with the family’s matriarch, YBhg Puan Sri To’ Puan Cheng Gek Hong.

The evening kicked-off with an amazing opening gambit by Xuan Long Dragon and Lion Dance troupe, followed by a speech by hotel director, YBhg Tan Sri Teo Chiang Hong to officiate the night. He expressed his gratitude to all the employees for their hard work and dedication to the organisation since its inception in 2007. “Our employees are our asset. And a decade of success would not have been possible without your tireless efforts and excellent contributions towards One World Hotel. However, there’s still so much more to do and improve especially with the highly competitive hospitality industry. Nevertheless, I definitely look forward to embarking yet another decade of success!”, said Tan Sri Teo Chiang Hong. 

Host cum entertainer, MC Cool Charles continued to spiced up the evening with his cheeky phrases and witty commentaries. Later that evening, homegrown boy band, Fourteen wowed the audience with energetic performance as well as engaging hilarious stage activities with associates. The crowd was then surprised with another special appearance from Amylea Azizan, Akademi Fantasia star, who graced the stage with her powerful and flawless voice.

Among the highlights of the night were department performances, best dressed contest, announcement of the hotel’s Superstars of the Year as well as presentation of 5-Year and 10-Year Service Awards to 111 associates in total. Mr Genessen a/l Pavada Naickan (Maintenance Department) and Ms Chia Shu Qi (Front Office), were crowned ‘Superstars of the Year 2016’, each received RM1,000 cash prize and a certificate for their outstanding services both internally and externally.

Apart from the exciting performances, lucky winners also walked away with exciting prizes which include Modenas Mr1 motorcycle, several 49’’ LED TV, Huawei Android smartphone, washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner and Travel Vouchers inclusive of flight ticket and accommodation to name a few. The lucky Grand Prize winner, Muhammad Iman Bin Mohd Tajudin from Kitchen Department brought home RM5,000 in cash.
