October 16, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The mega international promotion event, “In Style • Hong Kong”, is making its debut in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur from now till November. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the campaign will engage top business professionals, leading brands and creative talent to inspire and inform Malaysian corporates and consumers about Hong Kong’s vibrant lifestyle and creativity.

To enrich this mega promotion and reach out to the wider Malaysian community, the HKTDC has lined up 30 Hong Kong and Malaysian brands in Kuala Lumpur, featuring a total of over 140 restaurants and retail outlets, to offer discounts and incentives to consumers to savour Hong Kong cuisine and lifestyle. Starting now till end of November, Malaysian consumers will see a series of sales promotions through pop-up stores, on-ground promotions and in-store activities highlighting Hong Kong lifestyle elements, such as design-led products, trendy fashion and culinary experiences, with special offers from selected retail shops and restaurants.

Well-known Hong Kong fashion and lifestyle brands Giordano, G2000 and Hang Ten, popular jewellers Chow Tai Fook and TSL, optical boutiques eGG and Optical 88, as well as hotels Dorsett and Shangri-la are offering discounts and other consumer incentives. Signature menus with Hong Kong flavours introduced by Hong Kong media celebrity Luk Ho-Ming is available at Canton-i from October to November. To enjoy these offers, consumers can simply pick up a Citywide Promotion coupon booklet at the participating outlets across Kuala Lumpur from now on to 30 November. More exciting Hong Kong products and gourmet can also be found at the gourmet website Openrice Malaysia (https://my.openrice.com/info/hktdc/index.html), and also online retailer Lazada Malaysia from mid-October. In Style pop-up stores will also be set up at 2 Cubix outlets between 14 October and 30 November, at 10 MPH outlets between 14 October and 31 December, and at 5 Parkson outlets between 25 October and 8 November.

The “In Style • Hong Kong” offerings will showcase a variety of attractions from the city. The Hong Kong branded product expo on 7-8 November will be exclusive for trade buyers, while the business symposium on 7 November will feature networking, business matching and consultation services. An invitation-only Gala Dinner will be held after the business symposium has ended, facilitating members of the business community from the two cities to network, while citywide promotions will combine retailing and gourmet events at venues across Kuala Lumpur.
