4) Tumpik

Tumpik is one of the famous dish in Bintagor which is around 40 minutes from Sibu. Tumpik generally means pancake. And in Bintagor, they are one famous stall owned by Hj Abang Saini bin Abang Bantin which he make tumpik. They have 2 choices of tumpik where one is the the tumpik lemantak where the pancake made of sago is being panbaked.

As for Tumpik Special, you can enjo them with the shredded fresh prawns stuffing in the middle of the plain tumpik. Both are eaten together with the “gula apong” or nipah palm sugar to enhance the taste.

5) Midin


Midin is one of the famous dish in Sarawak. They are the Queen of the jungle Ferns in Sarawak. And we have this almost every meal here in Sibu. There are many places you can enjoy Midin and some are stir fried with belachan and some are cooked with red wine and more. They are many ways you can enjoy your  Midin and they are available almost every places in Sarawak.
