Learn to Pair Pastries with Wine on Bastille Day

June 15, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The Pastry Institute of St. Honoré (PISH) will be conducting a special one of a kind pastry and wine-pairing course for the public at the institute in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the French national day better known as Bastille Day. Advanced booking is required.

Chef Frederic Oger, the Master Pastry Chef of PISH and Master Sommelier Edouard Oger, a Wine and Spirit Consultant for the Court of Master Sommeliers “Europe”, both of whom hail from the Loire Valley in France will be conducting the wine and pastry pairing course, bringing with them the expertise and knowledge that they have picked up in their positions at many of the Michelin rated restaurants around the world.

Set in an intimate setting, experience different learning exercises and games designed to revolve around wine tasting and pairing, the art of plating and learning about the combination of flavours and textures of food featuring pastries such as Passion Fruit Tartlet with Coconut Meringue, Orange Chocolate Entremet, Mini Ciabatta with Poach Pear, Blue Cheese Spread and Walnuts, Croissant with Pesto alla Genovese and Seared Kampung Chicken and Goat’s Quiche with Combination Salad and Beef Bacon.
