Pais Ayam, Sup Gearbox, Roast Lamb highlights at dinner buffet, Empire Hotel Subang

May 31, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Pais Ayam, Sup Gearbox and Roast Lamb are set to be the main attractions at the Kitchen Art Brasserie, Level 2, Empire Hotel Subang in its dinner buffet spread during this festive period. Pais Ayam, a dish originating from Sarawak is made by marinating chicken with herbs and spices and cooking it in Bamboo over the grill or coal fire. During the cooking process, the chicken’s natural moisture is released and infused with the flavours of the herbs and spices. The Chefs at Kitchen Art Brasserie have added their own unique touch to this Sarawakian favourite by using rendang spices.

Over the past few years, Kitchen Art Brasserie gained popularity for its Sup Gearbox – large chunks of beef bones cooked in a broth with spices. Sup Gearbox, served every year at the outlet during Ramadhan, is made through a slow boil process that tenderizes the meat releasing its natural beefy flavour to infuse with the broth’s spices and herbs. Diners eating Sup Gearbox can often be seen using a straw to suck the juicy goodness from the tastiest, ‘difficult-to-reach’ hollow parts of the bones.

Roasted lamb has also been a crowd puller on the dinner buffet menu during this festive period at the Kitchen Art Brasserie. Customers can look forward to roasted whole lamb or roasted lamb leg that will be served daily at the outlet.

Other traditional favourites to be featured in the dinner buffet menu include Kerutuk Itik Serati Kuala Krai, Gulai Ikan Belimbing Buluh, Ayam Kalio, Gulai Ikan Pari Pucuk Paku, Kambing Masak Lada Hitam dengan Tomato Ceri, Gulai Kawah Terengganu dengan Kentang, Rendang Nangka Muda, Ayam Bakar Berempah, Sambal Sotong dengan Kacang Kisar, Kari Kepala Ikan dengan Bendi and many other Malaysian delights.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Kitchen Art Brasserie dessert spread is not to be missed. A colourful display of Malaysian and international desserts will be irresistible to even the strong-willed. Malaysian desserts will include Kuih Lompang, Pulut Inti Kelapa, Kuih Keria, Kuih Wajid, Kuih Kaswi, Tapai Ubi, Dodol, Pengat Pisang and more. International favourites will include Black Forest Cake, American Baked Cheese Cake, Mango Jelly, Alcazar Tarts, Coconut Cream Caramel, Cherry Crumble Cake, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Pineapple Charlotte and many other sweet treats.

Diners can also expect a festive atmosphere soon as they enter the Hotel’s lobby on level 2, with live Ghazal music from the Seri Alam Ghazal band entertaining guests throughout the evening in its cozy setting peppered with traditional themed decorations.

The Tradisi Pembuka Citarasa dinner buffet is priced at RM128nett per adult with a 40% savings (Mondays-Thursdays from 1st-20th June), 30% savings (Fridays-Sundays from 1st-20th June) and 50% savings for the last 5 days (21st June-25th June). The price per person for children and senior citizens is at a flat rate of RM64nett. All bookings are inclusive of one complimentary take away Chicken Floss Pastry for sahur.

For reservations, contact Kitchen Art Brasserie, Empire Hotel Subang at Tel: 03-5565 1228 or Email: [email protected]

Kitchen Art Brasserie is located on Level 2 of Empire Hotel Subang, Jalan SS16/1, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
