Sicilian Showcase by Guest Chef Lino Sauro at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur

March 15, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Enjoy the best of Sicilian at The Ritz- Calton Kuala Lumpur where from March 14 to 18  2017, The Library brings you with their guest Chef Lino Sauro to treat you to the authentic taste of Sicilian cuisine. It is indeed a pleasure being invited and one will be prepare to enjoy these awesomely delicious dining experience here.
Ostica
Starts your meal with the Amuse Bouche- Ostrica where the fresh oyster is served with the sherry vineger jelly, wasabi chips and Avruga Caviar.
Polipo
Loving how this dish is done. I am amazed where every mouthful is simply heavenly. The risone which brings you with the smooth texture cooked with squid inks and chilli in it. It brings you with the light spiciness with the topped of the pistachio pesto. Sides with the awesomely tender-licious squid with it. And I am impressed with the dish where it brings you with the flavourful blend in it.
Entrée – Capellini Con Aracosta
Cooked al-dente, the angel hair pasta is which is well coated with carrot sauce, lobster and seaweed with it. The pasta is such a pamper with the creamy bites and luxurious finish. This is just heavenly.
As for the mains, choose between Chef Lino’s e Zuppa di Pesce Gattopardo or Manzo Australiano. Both dish are simply impressive.
The Zuppa di Pesce Gattopardo
The Zuppa di Pesce Gattopardo is such a lovely dish and it is so good that I am licking the whole plate clean. The sauce is rich, completes with the seafood in it such as prawns, fish, calamari, clam and mussels. Nicely cooked and is perfect!
Manzo Australiano
The Australia Wagyu medium cooked and served together with the morel mushrooms and horseradish sauce.

Cassata
Ends your desserts with the deconstructed version of cassata where it is a traditional Sicilian ricotta cheesecake. Enjoy the icy delicious chocolate ice cream with the topped of the risotta cheese together with mixed nuts and fresh fruits. Simply refreshing!
The specially curated four-course Sicilian dinner at The Library is priced at RM250 (without wine) or RM375 (with Sicilian wine pairing) per person. Dinner is available from 7pm.
