NYONYA HOME RECIPES BY CHEF ADRIANA TAN @ MELTING POT, CONCORDE KL

Concorde’s coffee house, Melting Pot Café celebrates the best of Straits Chinese or Peranakan, flavours while also presenting a tantalising medley of asian and international delights from March 6 – 26, 2017. 
Guest Chef Adriana Tan from Ayer Keroh, Melaka has been invited to whip up nyonya delights during the buffet lunch and dinner promotion. Passionate about

cooking, Chef Adriana runs her catering business from home known as Adriana Nyonya Delights. Her homecooked meals are popular amongst her regular customers in Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Do not miss her signature nyonya laksa, mee siam, ayam pong teh, nyonya kuih. This time around, she shares her family recipes at the Concorde.

For appetisers, enjoy sambal timun with fish cake, sambal mangga and otak-otak nyonya. Each night, the buffet will feature selection of appetisers, main dishes and sweet section featuring nyonya kuih kuih. Also in the menu is the DIY pie tee.  Chef Adriana’s nyonya laksa and mee siam are a must-try! Main dishes served are ayam pong teh, ayam rendang nyonya, ayam tempra, sek ark (braised duck), chap chye, kangkung belacan, Sample nyonya style asam pedas, cooked with tenggiri, pari, snapper, garoupa and chicken.  Another variation is having asam pedas cooked with vegetables. Amongst dishes served are nyonya asam pedas bendi, peria, terung, kobis.Sambal udang petai, sambal sotong, sambal ketam, sambal kupang petai. 
Try as much to save some space to taste her best kuih-kuih. Abok-abok sago, pulut tekan served with homemade kaya, onde-onde, kuih bongkong, kuih ang koo, kuih genggang, kuih seri muka, kuih kosui pandan, kuih kosui gula Melaka and apam balik durian.
Menu rotates on a daily basis. Celebrating Nyonya Flavours with Chef Adriana Tan is March’s food promotion at Melting Pot Café. Buffet lunch – RM80.00 nett per person and Buffet Dinner – RM110.00 nett. For reservations or enquiries, please call 2717 2233.
