FLORAL ROOSTER COMMEMORATES THE CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

January 21, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The Lunar Year of the Rooster is celebrated with great zeal and splendour at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. To commemorate this auspicious celebration, a magnificent floral rooster decoration was handcrafted by a talented team of
in-house artists and florists.

The Year of the Rooster signifies prosperity and good fortune. The rooster, born under the sign of the candour has a flamboyant and colourful personality. The seven feet tall and six feet wide floral rooster which stands resplendently at the main lobby of the hotel perfectly embodies the characteristics of the rooster and brings it to live with its vibrant ensemble.

A team of five artists and four florists worked together for two weeks to curate this floral masterpiece. It was made using a total of 20,788 fresh chrysanthemum flowers in vibrant colours of red, pink, purple, yellow, green and orange.

The floral rooster will be on display at the hotel lobby throughout the Chinese New Year season. Guests who walk into the hotel lobby are bound to be delighted by this magnificent display, which personifies the diverse culture and celebrations in Malaysia.
