The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong Introduces a New Spa Concept for Purposeful Moments

November 14, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

With a brand name synonymous for exceptional levels of service and care, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong has now extended its talent for crafting tasteful and personalized journeys into the realm of spas. A new concept for The Ritz-Carlton Spa is implemented around the world with Hong Kong being one of the pilot properties in Asia Pacific.

On top of the ever-popular treatments designed by ESPA since The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong opened in 2011, the world’s highest spa completes its menu with three additional collections of treatments using method-tested products from international brands MDNA SKIN, NuBo and 111Skin. With the refined spa concept and treatment options, the spa caters to every specific need of the skin in all stages and conditions, redefining the benchmark for urban spa experience.

NEWLY LAUNCHED TREATMENTS

A collection of signature treatments has been created to echo the new spa concept, incorporating traditional techniques and indigenous ingredients to help balance and renew mind, body and soul, and give luminosity and radiance to the skin. Each treatment begins with a wellness consultation to ensure each guest’s experience is completely tailored to them.

Unwind Body and Mind takes inspiration from the city’s nickname, “Pearl of the Orient,” incorporating powerful pearl antioxidants with deeply reviving massage techniques to waken the drained body and soul. This nourishing treatment begins with a full-body exfoliation with pearl powder, followed by a deep muscle massage. The experience continues with a soothing eye and scalp massage to calm the central nervous system. The Ritz-Carlton signature finishing ritual brings to mind a comforting sea breeze from the iconic Victoria Harbour, wrapping up the 80-minute journey on a high note. HK$1,900 from Monday to Thursday / HK$2,050 from Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays

Perfect Harmony is designed exclusively for The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong by MDNA SKIN to promote metabolism for an even skin tone and firm texture. The 100-minute luxurious treatment combines a facial and a body massage, leveraging on the powerful effects of the scarce Montecatini clay. Chrome Body Clay Mask is applied to the upper back and is warmed to achieve its peak efficacy. A full-body massage then follows to improve the blood and lymph flow and accelerate lipolysis to excrete cellulite and body wastes, drawing out the true beauty of the skin. A face and neck mask completes the experience to give a total look with radiance shining from within. HK$2,480 from Monday to Thursday / HK$2,580 from Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays

Velvet Red Carpet Facial begins with a stimulating exfoliation and polishing treatment followed by a face, neck and chest massage. NuBo’s cutting-edge Cell Dynamic technology used in the White Diamond Ice-Glow Mask redefines facial contours and instantly rehydrates the skin. The treatment continues with a scalp and hand massage, applying special kneading techniques on stress-melting points to soothe soreness. The 80-minute journey finishes with a special breast-firming peel-off mask to address problems in the neck and decollate area, getting one ready for that perfect off-the-shoulder gown this party season. HK$2,080 from Monday to Thursday / HK$2,180 from Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays

Y Lift Intensive Facial is an intensive line-smoothening treatment designed to rapidly brighten the skin with extraordinary moisturizing effect. This 80-minute treatment incorporates advanced products from 111Skin, a much-coveted skin care brand developed by London-based plastic surgeon, Dr. Yannis Alexandrides. Available exclusively at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong, the facial is clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin smooth and supple. A comforting massage is performed on problematic areas using the special ball applicators which utilize the brand’s unique Black Diamond Nanotechonology to deliver active ingredients deep down into the skin. Face, neck and chest firming massage eases the mind and gets the body ready for the face and neck mask that follows. The facial produces significant results in lifting and toning up the skin and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin type. HK$2,680 from Monday to Thursday / HK$2,780 from Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays

“The Ritz-Carlton Spa concept is designed to extend even more of the unique and personal opportunities for wellness and indigenous experiences that our guests and global travelers seek,” stated Hervé Humler, President and Chief Operating Officer, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA was designed by HBA. Inge Moore of HBA comments, “Being the highest hotel spa in the world makes this a unique space to work with – we were inspired by the idea of ‘being in the clouds’ utilizing soft, smooth and natural materials.” In keeping with this concept, the breathtaking chandelier, designed by Eva Menz, which greets guests as they enter the spa also draws inspiration from the celestial backdrop of the clouds.

A true haven of ultimate elegance for locals and travelers alike, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong features nine deluxe treatment rooms and two couples’ suites; complete with Relaxation Lounges with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the city and Victoria Harbour.
