Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC Celebrates the Debut of Newly Renovated Guestrooms

November 10, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC, an acclaimed hotel for its service and sophistication in the Nation’s Capital, is delighted to debut its newly renovated guestrooms. Drawing inspiration from the hotel’s unique waterfront location and renowned monuments nearby, the rooms beautifully capture the essence of Washington, DC.

To celebrate the renovation, the hotel is offering the Refresh, Rejuvenate room package designed to foster relaxation with upscale amenities as well as the essentials for staying connected, productive and inspired. The package starts at USD 375 per night and includes the following:

•                     Deluxe Water View accommodation

•                     Invigorating welcome tea amenity

•                     USD 100 Spa credit per night

•                     Complimentary valet parking

•                     Complimentary high-speed internet

•                     Elemental Bath and Shower Oil Set by The Spa at Mandarin Oriental

Providing a luxurious and comfortable residential experience, all of the hotel’s guestrooms have been refreshed by Kent Interior Design, Inc. The stylish décor is accented by shades of celadon and dashes of robin’s egg blue that play off earth tones and the rich dark wood furnishings. Understated wall coverings, an elegantly upholstered headboard and media wall, along with lush carpets and drapery contribute to the serene atmosphere. The hotel’s Asian heritage is reflected in the exquisite details throughout the room. The mini-bar is discreetly hidden in a custom Asian- inspired cabinet and features items from Dean & Deluca.

A curated collection of original artwork complements the hotel’s remarkable views of the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial and the city skyline, as well as the cherry trees that line the hotel’s garden and the adjacent Tidal Basin. The hotel’s cherry trees were planted by the granddaughter of Yukio Ozaki, mayor of Tokyo who gifted the original 3,000 cherry trees to Washington, DC in 1912, which famously blossom each spring.

An artfully crafted round mahogany table replaces the traditional hotel room desk. Two plush wing back chairs accompany the table for added luxury and comfort. Recognizing guest needs for spaces for both business and pleasure, Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC introduces its Table of Contents program. Through this complimentary offering, guests may request laptop stands and accessories to convert the table into a standing desk, order special service from In-Room Dining to create a relaxed culinary experience or enjoy a selection of fun card games. The spa-inspired marble bathrooms have been refreshed with richly designed textiles, elegant vanity finishes, jetted shower heads, separate soaking tubs, luxurious Atelier Cologne amenities and large dimmable LED lighted mirrors.

The Refresh, Rejuvenate room package is available from October 20, 2016 to April 30, 2017 and is subject to taxes and gratuities. For reservations, please call +1 (202) 554 8588 or visit mandarinoriental.com/washington.
