East Meets West taste explosion at Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel

September 10, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Join us for a delicious collision of 2 flavors when Executive Chef Helmut Lamberger pits his culinary skills against Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin in a friendly battle of the chefs on Friday, 30 September 2016 at Dynasty Restaurant.

Priced at RM350nett per person and limited to 40 persons only, diners can savor an 8-course gourmet dinner complemented with a selection of Martell’s best. “Cognac is such a versatile drink that it makes a great tipple to pair with a variety of food. We are thrilled to showcase this special dinner menu created especially for cognac aficionados and enthusiasts where each course is paired with a flight of fine Martell cognac,” says Chef Helmut.

Chef Helmut will feature four western courses of Cream soup of topinambour with portobello mushroom confit; Atlantic black cod in pumpkin seed crust with fennel puree and smoked lemongrass sauce; Beef tournedos Rossini, Australian prime beef tenderloin steak with pan-fried goose liver terrine, Port wine jus, potato tart and Brussel sprouts as well as the evening’s sweet ending of Trio of Belgian chocolate infused with Szechuan pepper and green tea.

Meanwhile, Chinese culinary maestro Chef Kin will be bringing together contrasting tastes and textures in his oriental creation of Yin yang of Pistolet Bay scallop with spicy sour cream; Chilled mini abalone with water tofu and lump fish caviar; Sea treasure dumpling, ginseng and herb jus and Peking duck with pancake

With a seating capacity of 168 and three (3) private dining rooms, Dynasty Restaurant is steeped in rich Chinese heritage, from the luminous lantern shaped fixtures to the warm wooden panelling. The restaurant is lined on one side by floor-toceiling windows offering a spectacular look at the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers and the bustling Jalan Ampang in the foreground.

Located on Level 1, East Wing, Dynasty Restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12.00noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Dim Sum breakfast is served from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Sundays and Public Holidays, dinner hours are as usual.
