NEW MENU FOR AFTERNOON TEA AT LOBBY LOUNGE, SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

A new menu for Afternoon Tea has been introduced at the Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

There is the choice of the Classic Afternoon Tea or the Malaysian Afternoon Tea in the idyllic setting of the Lobby Lounge, with a view of the garden outside. Both feature new items in the menus.

The Classic Afternoon Tea is presented on a three-tier tray filled with savoury goodies, sweet desserts and scones.

The new savouries include Tuna Roll Sandwich with wasabi mayo, Smoked Duck on Rye sandwich skewer, Avocado with Shrimp Cocktail Salad in choux puff and Wood Smoked Salmon Tartar in cone.

On the dessert tray are Mont Blanc, Raspberry Cheese Cake, Pure Caraibe Chocolate and Orange Melange, Granny Smith Apple Crostata, Hazelnut Gianduja Macaron and Apricot Butter Sable.

There are classic scones and sultana raisin scones with strawberry, apricot jam and mascarpone cream.  Tropical fruits are on the tray too, while you are served coffee or tea of your choice.

The Malaysian Afternoon Tea offers a perky Chilli Crab Pie Tee, Golden Spiral Curry Puff, Fried Beancurd filled with vegetables and served with peanut sauce, Kuzi Chicken Pie and Cucur Udang with chilli dip.

Malaysian desserts on the tea tray include Banana Spring Roll with honey, Sago Gula Melaka with mango, Pandan Layer Cake, Mango and Jackfruit Trifle and four different Malay kuih.

Tropical fruits, coffee or tea complete this Malaysian Afternoon Tea. Both Afternoon Tea sets are priced at RM85 nett each, and are served between 3pm and 6pm from Monday to Saturday. For reservations, please call 03-2074 3900.
