Everyone’s Favourite Smurfs Embark on Asian Art Tour

July 12, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

This summer, get transported into the world of The Smurfs as they embark on an Asian Art Tour to convey their belief in harmony without boundaries. Created by Belgian comic artist Peyo in 1958, The Smurfs are making their first port of call in Hong Kong’s Harbour City! From 13th July to 9th August 2016, get transformed by Papa Smurf’s unique magic potion and transport yourselves to the wonderful world of The Smurfs!

Welcome to the Enormous “We’re All Smurfs” Village and Visit the 6-Metre Tall Mushroom House
Well-known to be ‘three apples tall’, The Smurfs enjoy a self-sufficient and restful life in the Smurfs Village. Using his secret magic potion, Papa Smurf has transformed the Ocean Terminal Forecourt of Harbour City into an enormous “We’re All Smurfs!” Village where visitors can experience the world of The Smurfs.

Using mushrooms as shelters, join 35 Smurf characters like Smurfette, Lazy Smurf, Clumsy Smurf and Painter Smurf and explore the tallest building in the village – a 6-metre tall gigantic mushroom house, learn magic spells under the guidance of Papa Smurf, play interactive games with other Smurfs and help protect the village from Gargamel and Azrael as they create havoc in the village!

“We’re All Smurfs” Village
Date : 14th July – 9th August 2016

Come and learn more about The Smurfs’ worldwide fame and how they have managed to capture the hearts of audiences for the past 58 years at the Gallery by the Harbour.

Here, the exhibition will pay homage to Peyo, the genius storyteller, with materials being exhibited to the world for the first time ever. Visitors will be able to completely immerse themselves in the world of The Smurfs as they take a look into Peyo’s recreated studio and look original works such as original copies of The Smurfs comic-strips, original plates and illustrations, as well as the original film of the first ever Smurf movie in the cinemas.
