THE GREENIES: HEALTHY SALAD IN A JAR

June 30, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Being living in the city, we often lead with a busy lifestyle with no time for proper meal planning. And most of the time, we ended having cup noodles or even sometimes not a proper meal though. Now, with The Greenies , they had started off your meals in jar and most of all salad is thoughtfully constructed in a glass mason jar to ensure it stays fresh (not soggy!) and most importantly, deliciously addictive with every bite. With the addition of superfoods, nuts and seeds, our salads will nourish and fuel you for the day. All you need to do is grab one of our salads in a jar, give it a good shake and dig in!

They comes with 8 choices of greenies in the jar and it just fits me well when I am too busy with work and needed some bites. Not just that, I had them for breakfast as a healthy breakfast meal too.

Mortar Pestle Pesto (RM 13)
The texture and taste of authentic mortar & pestle pesto mixed with parmigiano reggiano and extra virgin olive oil. To make it a complete meal, roasted chicken is added to fusilli pasta. The addition of 3 hour oven dried and fresh tomatoes makes it a classic combination that will always be a favourite. And whats better is they have less fats too.

TRUFFLE MUSHROOMS (RM 12)
Barley is one of those wonderful grains that don’t get the attention it deserves. With a chewy texture and nutty flavour, this delicious whole grain is paired with stir fried mushrooms, topped with arugula, toasted walnuts and shaved Pecorino Romano and drizzled with a hint of luxurious truffle oil in the balsamic dressing. A treat for the taste buds.

THE PROTEIN JAR (RM 15)
Want something tastier than a protein bar after your workout? This is the solution for you. Chickpeas, roasted chicken, broccoli, and eggs give it a high protein content while carrots, sweetcorn, and pumpkin seeds complete its high nutritional value. All on a bed of salad and a tangy lemon and olive oil dressing.

Love to get one, head to their shop or facebook for more information
