PUTIEN @ SS15 COURTYARD, SUBANG

June 9, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

PUTIEN is one of my favourite place to go whenever I am in  1 Utama and recently they had opened their 3rd outlet in  Klang Valley, And now they canbe fund in 3 location in Malaysia, 1 In 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid and the latest addition will be yhe one in SS15 Courtyard, Subang. Through the years, PUTIEN had win win several awards and endorsement by Taiwanese actress Briggitte Lin and Hong Kong Celebrity and Food Critic Chua Lam.

The latest recognition of PUTIEN is the excellence in its feature in the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2016 win the Causeway Bay outlet.

Ice Bitter Gourd (RM 7.90)
We started with the ice bittergourd where the bittergourd s served chilled and it is being sliced till thin and brings you with the crunchy and translucent-thin skin. Every slice bring you with the juicy moist texture and when it is dipped with the honey, it brings you with the refreshing hint where the light bitterness with a sweet hint

Iced Abalone (per piece) (RM 28.90)
One must not missed the luxury abalone here. Since PUTIEN is famed for its seafood especially abalone, one must not miss their tender juicy abalone which make it a popular delicacy which is a key ingridients of their local dishes. The juicy pluppy abalone brings you with the sweet chewy texture. Nice one!

Drunken Cockles (RM 13.90)
I am not a cockle’s lover but in PUTIEN; the cockles here are different. The cockles are carefully selected and clean properly leaving us with the pluppy texture. IR is then being topped with the generous sprinkled of fresh garlic and chillies. With this it brings you with a light zestiness in it.

Seaweed with Mini Shrimps  (RM 13.90)
Enjoy the mouthful of delights where one can enjoy the best texture and nutrient of the seaweed and in here hey use 15 mm long top grade first harvest seaweed that is harvested within 30 days of cultivation. It is then being tossed with the quality mini shrimps which is imported from the South China Sea region and every mouthful brings me with the delightful and refreshing experience.

Stir fried Yam (RM 11.90(XS)/ RM 18.90(S)/ RM 27.90(M))
As we know yam is one of good stuff to enjoy. And in PUTIEN they are using the centre and best portion of the premium yam and being cube. It is then being skilfully fried to make up a savoury traditional offering with the golden exterior with the light fluffiness within. I love how they make this where the yam taste is not too heavy and they have a light crisp from the deep frying with the seasoning on top.

Stewed PUTIEN Bean Curd in Claypot (RM 16.90(S)/ RM 25.90 (M)
Carefully selected the melts in the mouth beancurd is being topped with mushroom and meat on top. Stir them well and enjoy them hot. The Bean Curd is just perfect with the melts in the mouth sensation. Awesomely good!

Deep Fried Pig’s Trotters with Salt & Pepper (RM 11.90 per piece)
Looking at this; my tummy starts drolling even though we keep says that we are quite full after loads of dishes that is being served. Using specially using only 7 inch pig trotter, each trotter will be going through a long 12 hours preparation process before it is being served . Sink your mouth with these temptations and you will emerge to the tenderlicious meat full with collagen in it.

Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon (RM 18.90(S)/ RM 29.90 (M))
Of course, don’t miss their Heng Hwa Bee Hoon where PUTIEN uses sundried vermicelli milled by hand of Putian.  Unlike other machine Put dried bee hoon which is being dry manually under the sun at the crack of dawn ensures the bee hoon is translucent, silky , fine , chewy but not brittle. The rich, milky stock of pork bones and old hens cooked for hours and infused with the 10 sumptuous ingredient add to the flavour of the bee hoon. It is one of their signature among the guest.

Ends your meal with the Chilled Putian Loquat in Herbal Jelly where this is amazingly refreshing. Sample the Loquat which is the PUTIEN where it brings you with a tender and juicy texture. Mixed with Loquot , it brings you with the light and yet nutritious dessert.

Overall, it is indeed a great place for some homey meals and I am always falling in love with it. It is indeed a great place for a family meals or even with friends.
