TOP 5 BEST RAMADHAN BAZAARS IN SHAH ALAM

With the month of Ramadhan around the corner, Muslims across Malaysia will be observing the fast from down till sunset. Besides strengthening discipline and self-control, the holy month is also a time
when Ramadhan Bazaars spring up from 4-7pm for Iftar across Malaysia. Offering an array of street and home cooked food, these stalls not only attract the Muslim community but Malaysians and visitors from different cultures and backgrounds. Selangor has many amazing bazaars that cater to the food loving citizens of the state. Here are our top five picks on must-visit Ramadhan Bazaars.



Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam
One of the largest Ramadhan Bazaars in Klang Valley, with a total of about 200 stalls to choose from, the lively bazaar has a variety of stall delights for different palates. There’s a lot going on in this food spot and food lovers will be spoilt for choice on what to take away for Iftar. From Ayam Golek, Rojak Singapura, Nasi Goreng Berempah to Popiah, Burger Bakar and Cempedak Goreng, it’s no wonder why this bazaar was top of the list of bazaars to visit in a poll by Astro Awani viewers.

Jalan SS6/1, Kelana Jaya 
Located opposite Giant Mini Market, this Ramadan Bazaar is famous for having more than 6 stalls selling different grilled items. The Sambal Ikan Cencaru stall is definitely worth a try for all those who love grilled food. Some stall owners add a little excitement to their offerings such as Popiah FAM, a tribute to Malaysian Football Association located which is located close by.

Jalan 14/28, Petaling Jaya
The Section 14 Ramadan Bazaar is small and is mainly visited by those living and working in the neighbourhood. Although small, it is known for savoury delights such as Murtabak, Kerang Bakar, as well as puddings and Bubur Manis for those with a sweet tooth. You know that the stall offers good food when it has a queue of people waiting patiently for the food, just like how it is at the Penang Popiah and Tepung Pelita stand.  Satay lovers will find their spot in this bazaar.



Jalan USJ 4/5, Subang Jaya 
When in Subang Jaya, don’t miss out of the street culinary delights at USJ 4. Known for its array of Malay dishes, the Ramadhan Bazaar offers more now since many of the SS18 vendors have found a new home and space there. Curry puff lovers are in for a treat at the Raja Karipap Antarabangsa stall. Other popular stands include the ones selling Kepak Ayam Madu, creatively named Roti John Lennon and Murtabak.



Section 16, Bandar Baru Bangi 
The largest Ramadan Bazaar in Bangi, it is a popular spot for those who live in the area. Expect some problems finding a parking space, but when you do, it’s worth the wait. There’s plenty to choose from for those hungry for local food here. Among the stalls offering different dishes include Sabah style chicken wings,  Buruh Puyuh with Nasi Lemak and Durian Juice.
