FRESH MARKET PROMOTION @ SERENA BRASSERIE, INTERCONTINENTAL KUALA LUMPUR

April 13, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Experience scrumptious dining with the launch of InterContinental® Kuala Lumpur hotel’s new fresh market dining, pleasing palates from 23 March 2016 at the all-day dining restaurant, Serena Brasserie. The Fresh Market buffet dinner, available from 7:00pm to 10:30pm, comes in the indulgences of international buffet nights every Sunday to Thursday at RM 138 nett per adult, and ‘catch of the day’ galore on Friday and Saturday at RM 178 nett per adult.

In the buffet, there are over 25 types of veggies, seafood, meat and poultry items to choose from! Start off your meal with all the tempting seafood delights. Enjoy the catch from the sea where they have tiger prawns, mackerel, blocks of Norwegian salmon, squid, clams, and more. True to their concept, everything was fresh and the seafood was fleshy and firm.

For meat lover, you can grab a variety of slabs of poultry, beef and New Zealand lamb rack. All are freshly packed and put in the cool. I really liked the sausages: thick, juicy and flavourful, thanks to its blend of herbs and spices.

Here you can cooked your delights with 10 types of cooking styles to choose from such as bouillabaisse broth, portuguese stew, stone-grilled, cordon bleu, deep fried batter-breaded, teriyaki flair, pan-seared, meat stew braised, confit, and ragout, the chefs at Serena Brasserie will have fresh selection cooked to order based on the preferred savour, or opt for a different savour that will bring a diverse zest to the typical cuisine.

And not just that, don’t miss their signature Sang Har Mee. The fried noodles topped with prawns, veggies and an egg sauce.

And of course, not to be missed here is the amazing spread of fresh seafood on ice and sashimi. I love the fatty cut of salmon on offer, as well as the crayfish, slipper lobster and succulent prawns. There are also freshly shucked oysters, crabs, scallops, tuna sashimi and sushi.

While waiting for your grilled to be done, there are a few pre-cooked traditional items like roast chicken, ikan bakar (grilled fish), rendang and curries.

Don’t miss out their lovely desserts, With loads of variety to go for, one should try the live station of onde-onde, banana boat, or berry cobbler, warm dessert counter, extensive chocolate fountain medleys, and New Zealand Kapiti ice-cream varieties.
Aside they have loads more cakes to go for there too.

Seven menus are available on rotation, with highlight of ‘Catch of the Day’ on Friday and Saturday nights. Guests will indulge in the freshest seafood selection such as crayfish, crab flower, and saba fillet.

The delightful Fresh Market dining, with wide-ranging seafood and fresh produce, delivers a tantalizing experience not to be missed.
