RENDEZ-VOUS TRADITIONAL FRENCH CUISINE @ BANGSAR

March 16, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Located in Bangsar, Rendez-Vous seeks to serve French fare that’s both authentic and affordable. est assured you won’t burn a hole in your pocket for a modest meal here.

The setting of Rendez-Vous can consider as casual fine dining where it brings  you with the relaxing ambience with generous portion of food.

Soupe a l’onion (RM 24)

The hearty bowl of onion soups that comes simply flavourful is indeed well done with the complete bacon and Emmental Tartine. Absolutely good and delicious.

 “Salade périgourdine” (RM 36)

Start of with their greenies. The refreshing salad is topped with the smoked duck breast, artichoke, gizzards, bacon, Foie Gras and sundried tomatoes. Refreshing good on the salad and the duck breast comes flavourful and tender.

“Escargots” Snails with Parsley and Garlic Butter Sauce in Vol au Vent (RM 34)

I am obviously falling in love with the delicious starters. The escargot is de-shelled and served amazingly good with the garlic butter sauce.

Chicken Cordan Bleu (RM 36)

The Chicken Cordan Bleu comes simply good especially on how they prepared them. The chicken breast  was well wrapped with the turkey meat and parmesan cheese with it and then it is deep fried till golden brown and sides with the brown sauce. The texture comes moist and juicy especially how the cheese ooze out from the meat itself.

“Boeuf Bourguignon” (RM 56)

Don’t miss the Beef Bourguignon style served with red wine reduction and beef broth, generally flavoured with garlic, onions and a bouquet garni, with pearl onions and mushrooms added towards the end of cooking. The beef is sufficiently tender and well-marbled which makes the overall dish perfectly awesome.

“Moules frites” Mussels served with French Fries (RM 4)

The mussels is soaked with the creamy sauce base and cooked till perfection. Served together with the fries.

Cheese (RM 29 (Small Platter) / RM 46 (Large Platter)

Being in the French Restaurant, don’t miss their selection of French cheeses served with salad, dry fruits, and jam. Indeed an indulgence for cheese lover.

Ends your meal with some desserts of course.

French crème brulée (RM 19)

The French Crème brulee comes good with the rich custard base flavoured with vanilla bean is irresistible with its crisp burnt.

“Crêpe Suzette” French crêpe flamed with Grand Marnier (RM 26)

The delicious French dessert consisting of a crêpe with beurre Suzette with , a sauce of caramelized sugar and butter, tangerine or orange juice, zest, and Grand Marnier or orange Curaçao liqueur on top, served flambé. Nice one

Polognac Mojito (RM 30)
Polignac Cognac together with lime, mint leave, soda and brown sugar

Ricard (RM 24)
