USHER THE YEAR OF MONKEY @ KIP HOTEL, JALAN IPOH

January 26, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Usher in the Year of the Monkey with specially prepared dishes by Executive Chef Simon Lee and his team of talented chefs with dining offers that’s not to be missed. Guests can expect Chef Simon’s signature Chinese New Year staples such as Salmon and Sliced Abalone Yee Sang, Chicken in Mandarin Orange Sauce as well as Hong Kong Style Steamed Silver Cod, among others.
Salmon And Sliced Abalone Yee Sang.
Tossed your prosperity with the Salmon And Sliced abalone Yee Sang.  In here, they brings you with the both the slice abalone as well as salmon in one and the portion comes to be a generous one.
Hot & Cold Combination Platter
Uniquely presented with the colourful presentation of the gummies and chips around the plate, the appetizers comes with the yam basket, fish paste dim sum, yam basket ,  and deep fried meat with minced prawns with it. The presentation comes pretty unique and I pretty enjoy the spicy Japanese squid.

Mock Sharks Fin with Dried Scallop Soup
The delicious warm mock shark fin soup comes nice  and delicious where it is not too starchy just right consistency. The savoury soup is loaded with the dried scallop and sea cucumber which makes the soup a good one.
Deep Fried Boneless Chicken with Mandarin Orange Sauce
Instead of the usual roasted chicken, KIP brings you with a merrier Chinese New Year where we had they had them with deep fried and topped with the mandarin oranges with it. The dish is pretty unique with the sweet and fragrant sauce.

Steamed Silver Cod Fillet Hong Kong Style
I am falling in love with the Steamed Silver Cod Fish Fillet. The cod fish is indeed very good where the gravy is just done right with the cod meat flaky and smooth texture.
Kam Heong Ming Prawn
The prawns simply good where it comes fresh and what makes it even better is they comes with the savoury and smokey flavours.

Fried Rice with Scallops and Pine Nuts
Ends your meal with the Scallops and Pine Nuts. Simple meals and yet satisfying.

Snow Fungus and Red Dates in Syrup and Sesame Lotus Balls
The soup comes sweet and nice and yet it well compliments with the sesame lotus balls which make a perfect match to ends our meals that night.
KIP Hotel’s 2016 Chinese New Year set menu will feature a selection of two exquisite nine-course dinner menus; Set Menu A priced at RM988 nett and Set Menu B priced at RM1188 nett per table of ten (10) persons.
