THE MUSEUM OF TAIPA AND COLOANE HISTORY

January 3, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Macau, Travel Leave a Comment

The Museum of Taipa and Colone History was formerly the building of the former Island Council Building. The Portuguese-style building was constructed way back in the 1920s according to the earliest documents attainable.

The Museum of Taipa and Coloane History itself is an integral part of the history of Coloane and Taipa, and the Macau Special Administrative Region government has categorized it as a building of architectural and artistic value.

The exhibits inside the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History are in two floors which consist of nine exhibition rooms, a video presentation area and of course, a souvenir shop.

There is a comprehensive collection of artifacts and relics that are displayed in the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History. The nine exhibition rooms are differentiated according to location and specific themes per room.

The exhibition rooms on the first floor, specifically; exhibition rooms 1 to 5, of the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History contain historical relics that were unearthed in Coloane. It is simply interesting where it brings you loads of knowledge about Macau too.
