Extraordinary modern French menus and luxurious international buffets incite sophisticated Christmas and New Year celebrations at Plaza Athénée Bangkok, A Royal Méridien Hotel’s award-winning The Reflexions and newly re-designed Rain Tree Café restaurants and The Glaz Bar.
Whichever choice is made, the outcomes are appropriately inspiring and irresistibly invigorating.

Christmas 
The Reflexions 



Chef Mark and team create a different take on the Christmas theme for those who relish the most enriching forms of culinary art.
The special Christmas menu begins with a festive amuse bouche, followed by Gravalax of Scottish salmon with Soft Boiled Quail Egg. Then Seared Foie Gras with Spiced Apple and Grape Chutney. Parsnip and Cumin Veloute follows before a choice of Roasted Loin Of Black Cod with Cannellini Beans, Tomato, Chorizo and Razor Clams or Duo of Guinea Fowl – Stuffed with Foie Gras and Sous Vide Breast with Roasted Chestnut and Onion Puree. For dessert savour Iced Orange Marmalade Parfait and Valrhona Dark Chocolate Praline Wafer and much more.
Christmas Eve + Christmas Day Dinner (18:00 – 23:00):

The Rain Tree Café 



One of the gastronomic highlights of Bangkok’s dining calendar takes place amid the re-invented neo-colonial style that has transformed The Rain Tree Café into a sensorial delight.
Start with freshly shucked Fine de Claire oysters, Alaskan King Crab, Rock lobster and much more ocean-fresh seafood. Delve into appetizers of Tuna tartar with Lime Zest and Poached Quail Egg along with Smoked Turkey with Sautéed Capsicum Avocado Salad. Leave room for Roasted Duck Breast with Foie Gras Sauce and Seared Scallop with Caper Lemon Butter Sauce, not to mention live grillings of Norwegian Salmon, Australian Beef Sirloin and Pan-Seared Foie Gras with Berry Compote.                  Leave room for Minced Pies, Chocolate Orange Buche De Noel and Spiced Milk Chocolate Crème Brulee – all just the tip of the treasures in store.
Christmas Eve Festive Lunch Buffet (12:00 – 14:30):

Christmas Eve Dinner (18:00 – 22:30):

New Year’s Eve Gourmet Discoveries Dinner (18:00 – 23:00)
The talented and passionate Chef Mark Ian Jones unveils another original menu of gastronomic delights. Start with Home-Smoked Sea Trout and Oscietra Caviar and carry on with Pressed Confit Duck and Foie Gras Terrine. Then devour Seared Crayfish Tail with Sautéed Veal Sweet Breads followed by Roasted Tenderloin of Beef, Madeira Jus. After Pink Champagne Espuma, conclude with another sensporial crescendo of Chocolate Declinations.

Truly a tour-de-force, the decadent Rain Tree Café New Year gala buffets select only the finest produce from around the world and prepare them with unbridled passion and perfectionism.
Too many exquisite morsels to mention, especially as there’s a whole a la carte menu besides the buffet! Think Salmon Tartar with Quail Egg and Pan-Seared    Foie Gras with Balsamic and Mango Slice. Plus desserts!
