One World Hotel Petaling Jaya has once again won the prestigious Asia’s Leading Conference Hotel 2015 award at the 22nd World Travel Awards Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony 2015. It was indeed a glamourous affair; the red-carpet event took place at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong on Thursday evening, 29th October 2015.
The prize was awarded to the hotel’s director and owner, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong. One World Hotel beats off stiff competition from eleven other well-established competitors around the Asia Region. Established in 1993, World Travel Awards, also known as the ‘Oscar of the travel industry’ has been highlighting excellence in product and services across the sectors as well as recognising outstanding achievers in the global travel and tourism industry.
One World Hotel will be competing at the Grand Final on the 12th December 2015 hosted by the luxurious 5-star Mazagan Beach Resort in El Jadida, Morocco against other regional winners from across the globe, namely Middle East, Africa & Indian Ocean, Europe, Latin America, Caribbean & North America and Asia & Australasia to be named World’s Best. Winners are voted by travel industry professionals worldwide
While presenting the award, President and Founder of World Travel Awards, Mr Graham Cooke said, “It is a privilege to acknowledge the leaders of Asian and Australasian hospitality this evening. One World Hotel was also recently awarded the highly-acclaimed International Star Award for Quality at the Business Initiative Direction (B.I.D.) Quality Convention held in Geneva, Switzerland on the 20th September 2015. The gala dinner event for the presentation of awards to various companies and organisations from 49 countries around the globe was to acknowledge their achievements in Quality and Excellence.
