TRICK-OR-TREAT SHOPPING & DINING TIPS @ SUNGEI WANG PLAZA

Sungei Wang Plaza is thrilled to make this Halloween fun and it is set to be unforgettable. So, imagine the excitement of the bloggers and members of the media that recently invited to experience a whole day of “Halloween treats” at Sungei Wang Plaza. These guests were treated  to challenge the latest 9D Halloween Movies at the newly opened 9D Cinemas at Level 3, the  lifestyle and entertainment floor. Equipped with the latest technology and special effect  machineries, the 9D Cinema delivered the maximum viewing pleasure and fun to all the

Ms. Yuen May Chee, Complex Manager of Sungei Wang Plaza said the objective of this unique initiative was to showcase and promote the unique tenants mix here in Sungei Wang Plaza.

“Sungei Wang Plaza is a popular shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, enjoying heavy shopper traffic in the area and is well-known for its specialty stores offering shoppers a wide range of products and services including party accessories, fashion, decorations, beauty & body art and café &
restaurants, all under one roof”, she said.

The Halloween journey continued with a lunch served at U-Café where participants feasted on Halloween Set Lunch – Chef’s Pumpkin Rice with Chicken Chop and creamy pumpkin soup. Each and every pumpkin was hollowed out and carved beautifully, roast to perfection and topped with signature fried rice and succulent chicken chop. The Halloween Set Lunch also came with a refreshing ice watermelon juice to complete the meal. This Halloween lunch set is on the menu for the Halloween celebrations from 26th to 30th October at U-café, Concourse Level.The guests were also amazed with the Halloween theme tattoo art presentation by the talented tattoo master at Iron Bunny & Bloody Ink, Level 1. The tattoo culture and outstanding skills & techniques at Sungei Wang Plaza’s tattoo shops has always been highly recommended and endorsed by tattoo enthusiasts locally and internationally. Whether you’re here to get your first tattoo or to add to your collection. The tattoo artists at Sungei Wang Plaza have both the professional skills and experience to give you your special and unique tattoo artwork. Also, JR Tattoo at Level 1 has provided several air brush tattoos for the participants whom adore tattoo but did not want permanent ink on their body.

After viewing the amazing tattoo art presentation, a mini “Supermarket Sweep” contest were held in Mr. DIY, Level 2. With over 20,000 varieties of products, the participants were asked to collect a list of items and the first group to collect the item will be going home with a lovely Halloween candles from Lovely Lace, Level 3. Participants were also given cash vouchers to shop in Mr. DIY for their Halloween gifts.

The fun did not stop here! The guests were led to Level 6, Snips College of Creative Arts (SCCA), where talents of creative arts and fashion were born. The professionals in SCCA were captured the eyes of the guests with their professional Face Art demonstration and some guests were even invited to be the model of the day! SCCA is not only a place that creates great talent but showcase where fashion and art at its own grace. As a feather off their hat, SCCA received a few accolades in various categories – the Top Academy Award, Best Student Award-Makeup and 1st Runner-Up Best Student Award-Hair in the recent APHCA National Hair & Makeup Competition With Halloween fast approaching, we cannot neglect to shop Halloween costumes for this special celebration. There are plenty of costume shops in Sungei Plaza where shoppers are able to purchase costumes to their likings. Two (2) Halloween characters awaited the participants at Anmani Show Costumes Outlet, LG Floor for photo opportunity. Shopping for costumes and accessories are never difficult when you are at Sungei Wang Plaza.

This long fun-filled day came to an end with a Halloween tea break at Hui Lau Shan, Concourse Level. Participants were spoiled with mouth-watering desserts sponsored by Hui Lau San. Fresh mango desserts were individually served, together with mango flavoured mochi and fruit tarts.

In the past two years, Hui Lau Shan Malaysia had pass through different level of milestones. Some of the most significant milestones which have been achieved in 2013 were the Brand Laureate SMEs Best Brands Award for F&B –The Best Dessert Brand 2013. And, Their Central Kitchen was certified by JAKIM HALAL in October.

The trip ended with a group photo and a bag full of memories of Halloween fun experience at Sungei Wang Plaza.
