RESTAURANT TEOWCHEW LAO ER, PUDU

October 17, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Restaurant TeoChew Lao Er located in Pudu is serving the traditional dish of the olden Teowchew flavours for the last 30 years through three generation from in early days of business of mixed dishes rice platters till 2011. Then, it Is being transformed into a contemporary main course dining to cater and introduce people to the Teochew Cuisine.
TEOW CHEW LAO EE
Since we are not too hungry, we headed for some light meal there where one of its signature is Signature Seafood Porridge (RM 15(S); RM 25 (M) ; RM 50 (L)). Served with the porridge and topped with the scrumptious seafood with it, the dish is indeed flavourful and a good one.
TEOW CHEW LAO EE
The Teochew Red Stewed Duck (RM 8) was a good one too. Stewed till soft and flavourful with their signature ingridients, every mouthful comes simply good with the tender moist meat.
TEOW CHEW LAO EE
The traditional delights – Chwee Kueh (RM 2.50) is a type of steamed rice cake topped with diced preserved radish and served with chilli sauce. It is my first time trying them and I found it pretty unique.

TEOW CHEW LAO EE
Fungus with Longan Soup (RM 3.30)
