ISETAN KUALA LUMPUR CELEBRATES 25 LOVING YEARS

October 4, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

In true Japanese fashion, ISETAN Kuala Lumpur is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a host of festivities and initiatives for customers, as well as to give back to the community.

The initiatives include Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaigns in partnership with HOPE worldwide Malaysia in support of underprivileged children in Malaysia.

“I am very proud of ISETAN Kuala Lumpur’s magnificent achievements in the 25 years we have been in Malaysia. It is 25 years of styling, decorating and indulging Malaysians with premium quality fashion, unique home décor and fine food from Japan and around the world”, said Mr. Nobuharu Yutani, Managing Director, ISETAN of Japan Sdn Bhd.

In a recent event to mark the special occasion, guests and members of the media and bloggers were treated to Wadaiko Syo, a traditional Japanese drum performance, followed by a birthday cake-cutting ceremony with management and staff of ISETAN Kuala Lumpur.

Said Mr. Nobuharu Yutani, “We at ISETAN Kuala Lumpur have received a lot of support and encouragement from our customers over the years. Customer satisfaction is our greatest achievement, and because our customers’ love has stood by us all these years, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary by giving back to the Malaysian community to show our gratitude and appreciation”.
As part of the ongoing celebrations, 12 months of in-store promotions and activities are taking place from January until December 2015. Three upcoming major sales events comprise the Pre-sale (2 October), Birthday Sale (10 October) and Customer Appreciation Night (11 December) with exclusive discounts and promotion vouchers for members.

There will also be designer collaborations with Anna Sui, Gillian Hung X Cultivation, and Naraya featuring limited edition merchandise, premium gifts, ladies wear and homeware.

ISETAN Kuala Lumpur’s 25th anniversary CSR campaigns include Daruma by ISETAN and the ISETAN KL Birthday Run:

Daruma by ISETAN
Drawing inspiration from the Japanese traditional wishing doll, Daruma by Isetan features a collection of five specially designed coin canisters. Symbolising perseverance, these cultural good luck charms encourage goal-setting and the achievement of personal aspirations.

Customers will receive a certificate of appreciation when they return a full Daruma to Customer Service for contribution to the fund collection box. They may thereafter keep the Daruma as a memento for their act of goodwill. Daruma is available for sale at
i-Club Isetan KLCC, The Gardens and 1 Utama at RM15 each.

ISETAN KL Birthday Run
The ISETAN KL Birthday Run will take place on Saturday, 8 November 2015 at Taman Botani Perdana, Kuala Lumpur.  Participants may compete in any of four categories, after contribution of a nomimal participation fee. The categories include Men and Women’s 7 km open (RM50 each), Family 3 km dash (RM80 for 4 people), and Kids 1 km dash (free). Each participant will receive a race kit consisting of a goodie bag, a Le Coq Sportif dry fit shirt and a race bib.  Finishers will receive a medal and e-certificate.

Activities following the run will include mascot appearances, children inflatables, candy floss and popcorn, and a lucky draw. More information about the run can be obtained by visiting www.isetanklbirthdayrun.com or by calling +6011 2801 4481 or like IsetanKLBirthdayRun on Facebook.
