IPPUDO CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY WITH “ULTIMATE RAMEN EXPERIENCE” CONTEST

August 19, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

IPPUDO – Japan’s acclaimed ramen chain – will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2015 with many exciting global events and activities. To mark this momentous milestone, IPPUDO Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia are offering their valued customers the once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit Japan to tour the world-renowned Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum (http://www.raumen.co.jp/english/), dine at IPPUDO’s flagship Ginza Store and experience what true ramen culture is to a Japanese.

Valued customers can qualify for this ultimate ramen experience through a special contest run by IPPUDO’s regional stores in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Jakarta. All they have to do is register for the campaign on their mobile phone or this webpage: www.ultimateramenexperience.com; dine at any of IPPUDO’s stores in their city; and request for a code from IPPUDO’s counter staff for every minimum spend of RM30 at the store. Customers will just need to collect 3 codes to qualify for the chance to win a 3 Day / 2 Night ramen cultural trip to Japan in November 2015. One winner will be selected from each country. This contest is jointly sponsored by MyTeksi, Mayflower Holidays Sdn. Bhd. and other supporting companies.

IPPUDO’s Regional Director, Ng Yin Ching said, “We are very grateful for the support of our loyal customers in South East Asia as because of them, IPPUDO has been able to realize robust local growth and regional expansion. We have managed to grow our Malaysian business from one to three restaurants (at Pavilion KL, The Gardens Mall and Bangsar Shopping Centre) in just a short span of two years. Our Malaysian Joint Venture company has also expanded its reach into countries like Thailand and Indonesia.  We now have 6 IPPUDO stores across Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.“

IPPUDO Regional Operations Consultant, Tomo Kudo added, “IPPUDO is proud of our new role as the regional champion of Japanese ramen culture in South East Asia. To celebrate our rich heritage and new role, we thought it would be a nice touch to take some customers to Japan to help them understand the history of ramen and experience the culture first hand. We hope that they will have an unforgettable experience and eventually become our new regional ambassadors of Japanese ramen culture,”

IPPUDO founder Shigemi Kawahara’s philosophy has been to continuously innovate to remain true. Kawahara is well known for reinventing ramen, and redefining recipes for a dish that emerged over 300 years ago. These recipes continue to captivate more than 50,000 customers who visit IPPUDO’s over 80 restaurants throughout Japan and almost 50 overseas outlets in major international cities daily – including those in London, Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila that opened their doors in late 2014.
