SAVOUR A FEAST FOR THE SENSES WITH KELONG DINING AT BINTAN

From June until December 2015, guests staying at Banyan Tree Bintan and Angsana Bintan will have the opportunity to enjoy an enticing dinner treat on board a traditional Kelong – a local fisherman’s abode, tucked just a few meters away from the peaceful private beach.

Guests will be greeted by a picturesque panoramic view of the South China Sea bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, after embarking on a local Pompong boat that will take them to the rustic dining location. Once guests have arrived at the destination, they will be able to kick off their evening with a refreshing array of cocktails.

With the sun sinking into the sea, the breeze as a background symphony and the Petromak lanterns setting the mood, a private chef and waiter will pamper diners as night falls around them. Guests will be able to choose from  a selection of culinary delights including a tantalising range of Middle Eastern cuisine and barbequed seafood dishes such as Mezze platter with hummus, moutabel, tabbouleh and fatoush salad, as well as Coral fish, tiger prawns, lobster with chili, ginger, lemon grass and coriander.

From intimate dinners to group dining with a casual and friendly atmosphere, the Kelong can welcome a crowd of up to 16 guests. Picnic baskets with sparkling wine for two or more guests, are also available for take away during lunch hours.
