CNY DISHES @ LAI CHING YUEN, GRAND MILLENNIUM

February 22, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Lai Ching Yuen, Grand Millennium Hotel brings you the famed of their delicious dishes. From their dim sum till their braised pork knuckle which are some of my favorites there. The restaurant brings you with a variety of Chinese delights for daily meals or even festve season. LAI CHING YUEN

This round, our visit to Lai Ching Yuen brings us with their Chinese New Year menu which is featuring loads of good food. Started our meals with the Yee Sang with the Norwegian Salmon and Crispy Fish Skin. The yee sang comes with the twist of the crispy skin as well as the Norwegan Salmon with it. With the added twist of strawberry sauce instead of the plum sauce added on top, the yee sang comes with the light sourish blend of taste and indeed appetizing. LAI CHING YUEN

Next served is the Double Boiled Dry Scallop Soup with Chinese Cabbage. The soup comes nutritious soup with a huge dumpling in it. Filled with the pluppy shrimps in the wantan itself with some minced meat. The soup is indeed a delicious one with the soup filled with the flavourful taste.

Not to be missed is the Deep Fried Prawns with Chef Heng’s Mayonnaise Sauce. The pluppy prawn is being deep fried till perfection with the crispy at the outside and moist and succulent at the inside. I am just loving how lovely and delicious the prawns is being served. Awesomely good.

Braised Pork Knuckle with Sea Moss and Dried Oyster is one of the signatures in Lai Ching Yuen. He huge serving of the Braised Pork Knuckle together with the Sea Moss and Dried Oysters comes good. Melts in the mouth texture of the pork knuckle is such an indulgence during the CNY.

As for some vege delights, we are served with the perfect indulgence of the Assorted Mushrooms in Bean Curd Bag. Filled with the goodie-licious mushrooms, and cubes vegetables in it. The presentation comes indeed lovely which is alike money –bag in the lovely packages. Filled your prosperity this year with the money bag.

End your meals, with of course the Fried Rice with Assorted Chinese Waxed Meat Wrapped in Lotus Leaf. The moist rice with the chopped assorted Chinese Waxed Meat with it; and it is topped with with the scrambled egg which is finely chopped. LAI CHING YUEN

Of course, end your dinner with some sweet temptations. End with the Hot Sweetened Cream of Green Beans and the New Year “Nian Gao”. The sweet desserts is good to melts your mouth and I love how the yummy “nian gao” is served. Do check out Lai Ching Yuen Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur for your Chinese New Year dinner this year!
