Three Treasure Yee Sang (七彩三宝魚生 (鲍鱼, 熏蛙鱼和海蜇鱼生)(三星拱照)) is not just served with the standard salmon but Ding Tai Fung make a twist featured the Yee Sang with three specials ingredients which includes abalone, smoked salmon and jelly fish. The yee sang is served together with shredded yam, cucumber, carrot, radish, pomelo, pickled vegetables, peanuts, sesame seeds and crackers.

Served next is the Din Tai Fung House Special 招牌小菜 (事事如意)where the pickled cucumber is mixed together with the vermicelli, bean curd strips, bean sprouts, spring onions and julienne seaweed. Tossed with the sourish and light spicy dressing with it! Indeed appetizing delights for a kick start before the mains coming.

Stewed Wheat Gluten (烤麸(八方锦绣)) comes with the simple and yet tasty vegetarian dish which comes with the stewed wheat glutten, black fungus, and edamame beans.

One of my favorite delights is Shaoshing Wine Marinated Chicken (绍兴醉鸡 (闻鸡起舞)) . The chicken is being marinated with the Shao Hsing Rice Wine (绍兴酒) and Nu’er Hong (女儿红). The chicken served cold with the tender and juicy meat and there is the subtle hint of flavour from the wine can be tasted.

I love the way the House Steamed Chicken Soup (元盅鸡汤 (金凤报喜)). The healthy soup which is boiled for hours brings us with the rich and flavorful soup. Packed with nutrients and it is such a tummy warming soup to enjoy especially after long hours of work.

Famed for their Xiao Long Bao, a meal without it is not complete. Din Tai Fung comes with a variety choices of Xiao Long Bao (小笼包) where the Original Xiao Long Bao comes with pork, and now they have the Crab Roe and Pork Xiao Long Bao (蟹粉小笼包 (龙马精神)) too. The Xiao Long Bao is one of the specialities where it is Carefully weight, crafted into 18 exquisite folds and it is made fresh from the kitchen. The Xiao Long Bao (小笼包) is having the super thin skin wrapping succulent and juicy meat There is a special way to have the Xiao Long Bao where it is need to be carefully eaten which is “ 轻轻提, 慢慢移,先开窗,后品汤, 沾酱汁,一口尝 ” This is where you pick up the xiao long bao carefully and put in the spoon, add some vinegar and the slice ginger on the xiao long bao and then by using the chopstick make a whole on the xiao long bao’s skin and add the sauce. Then, pop the whole xiao long bao in the mouth.

Aside from the Xiao Long Bao, Ding Tai Fung also served a good Steamed Fish Dumpling (鲜鱼蒸饺 (吉庆有余)). Well-made fish dumpling with the pulpy and yet juicy fish meat.

The highlights of the night – Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk 黄金咸蛋明虾 (嘻哈大笑 )comes fresh, and bouncy prawns. It is well battered and coated with the salted egg yolk. Well done, and cooked till perfection, I love how it is done with the crispy edges and pulpy prawns. Nice and indeed stolen my heart away that night.

Love it ? Hate it? The Stir-fried Seasonal Vegetable with Garlic (蒜炒时疏 (亲亲热热)) which is served comes with the greeny smell when it is served.
Din Tai Fung, CNY
Fried Pork Chop(炸猪扒 (丁财两旺)) that made from lean meat and well marinated with 5 types of spices powder. It is then fried till golden brown leaving us with the juicy, and yet tender and flavorful delights.

Din Tai Fung, CNY
Not to be missed is the Shrimp Fried Rice 虾仁蛋炒饭 (黄金满屋). Well stir fried rice with the fluffy rice and topped with fresh praws, spring onions and egg with it. It is indeed a flavorful rice to be enjoyed.
Din Tai Fung, CNY
We ended with the Sesame Dumpling in Red Bean Soup 豆沙芝麻汤圆 (丰年团圆). The red bean soup comes pretty thick with the hint of dried Tangerine with it. Added with the Sesame glutinous rice dumpling in it.
