INTERCONTINENTAL KUALA LUMPUR ADDS A LITTLE LUXURY AND SWEETNESS THIS VALENTINE’S DAY.

Love is on the menu at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the affection between family, friends and partners this Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2015. The award winning restaurants of the luxury city hotel will be presenting a spectacular Valentine’s Day menu to commemorate the day with a romantic dining experience.

An Ocean of Love at Serena Brassiere.

Celebrate the occasion at signature all-day dining restaurant, Serena Brasserie where the team of chefs prepare a showcase of the finest food around the world with an international seafood buffet priced at RM128++ per adult or RM 188++ per adult inclusive of a glass of Prosecco or a bottle wine per couple. The air will be filled with love with romantic lightings while strolling musician serenades with evergreen love songs.

There will be a grand scale of buffet spread to cater any appetite, guests will be treated to salads such as Portobello mushroom carpaccio, lobster, mache with potato salad, and Cajun prawn chocolate chilli dip. For the sweetest Valentine’s, the freshest seafood items will be served on ice, indulge in aphrodisiac US and Fin de Claire oysters, Australian spanner crab, baby lobster, mud crab, NZ green lips mussel, pacific prawn, slipper lobster, Hervey Bay half shell scallop and the much favoured Alaskan king crab. Sushi and sashimi selection of Norwegian salmon, and whole yellow fin tuna will be available as well.

Chef’s recommendations include specials such as baked Rockefeller oyster with cream spinach and chocolate hollandaise, and gratin baby Borneo lobster thermidor with button mushroom and trio cheese. Live action stations presenting exquisite dishes are also available such as BBQ station, Japanese teppanyaki, Asian noodles soup and western pasta selection to name a few. The evening continues with sweet selections of lavender crème brulee, mascarpone mousse, macaroon, red velvet and the fountain of love – chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries, marshmallow, melon balls and more.

Subdued Seduction at IVIV (OneSixFive) lounge & bar.

Overlooking a luscious garden and waterfall, stylish IVIV (OneSixFive) lounge and bar, well-known for its Afternoon Tea has crafted a lovely rendition for Valentine’s Day. Priced at RM110++ per couple, the afternoon tea set includes a pot of selected house tea or RM170++ per couple for afternoon tea set including two glasses of sparkling wine. Unwind and delight in strawberry and traditional scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and fresh preserves, sea salt macaroon, crispy cream puff & lavender patisserie cream, lychee rose tart, and some charming savouries of crab and avocado tomato bagel, lobster and asparagus brioches, beetroot salmon with fennel and more.

Surprise any foodie and fashionista with executive pastry chef Chan Eng Hua’s handcrafted handbag cakes, the delectable dainties comes in selection of red velvet, brownies, carrot cake, fruit cake and more available from RM36++ per cake.

Love Message with Romanchikku Japanese Cuisine at Tatsu. 



Enjoy the most romantic celebration of the year with an authentic Japanese dinner at Tatsu Japanese Cuisine. The five-couse set dinner is priced at RM398++ per couple inclusive of a bottle of Prosecco. Chef has prepared an inspirational menu starting with appetiser of Namban pickled Atlantic salmon, followed by freshly flown in sashimi of freshly shucked oyster and Bluefin tuna with avocado marinated with ume plum paste. It will be an evening to remember with more deluxe chawanmushi, the steamed egg custard is topped with fresh truffle and Alaskan crabmeat. Moving on to main, pan seared foie gras rolled with teriyaki beef or chicken will be served with fragrant garlic fried rice and other Japanese favorites, ending with a sweet raspberry chocolate mousse, almond dacquoise, rhubard apricot compote and rose scented brulee ice-cream.



Passion and Sweetness with Tao.

Tao Chinese Cuisine will be hosting a luxurious Valentine’s Day set dinner with Chinese fine dining menu at RM288++ per couple inclusive of two glasses of sparkling wine. Guests will start with Tao Valentine’s Combination Platter of deep-fried kataifi scallops, longan with honey wolfberry dressing, pan seared smoked duck with coriander and chilli apple salsa, and chilled chicken roll with Sichuan pepper dressing. The five-course meal will continue with Japanese dried scallop, fish maw and pumpkin broth braised in wintermelon ring, baked cod fillet with honey miso sauce and one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, truffle oil fried rice with braised baby abalone. Lastly, we have our award winning pastry chef Chan Eng Hua with an exquisite creation, Chocolatemisu, wild berry compote, sable Breton and chamomile sorbet.
