KFC & PIZZA HUT MALAYSIA WINS BIG AT THE REGIONAL CHAMPS CHALLENGE 2014

KFC Malaysia bagged eight awards, while Pizza Hut Malaysia brought home six awards in the Yum! Brands, Inc. (Yum!) Regional Champs Challenge (RCC) 2014 held on 19th November.
The Yum! RCC is one of the biggest events for KFC and Pizza Hut; two of Yum!’s biggest franchises. The event takes place on an annual basis, rotating from one host country to another within the Asia-Pacific region.

Malaysia was chosen once again to play host in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah after the last RCC hosted in Malaysia was also held in Sabah. The KFC and Pizza Hut RCC this year was held at KFC Drive-Thru Sulaman and Pizza Hut 1Borneo Hypermall respectively.
13 countries participated in this year’s KFC RCC competition which was the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, and Cambodia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

KFC Malaysia took home eight awards out of the 10 competed categories that included the Fastest Cook, Most Customers Served, Most Accurate Orders, Best Cashier, Best Cook, Best Manager, Customer Mania as well as the CHAMPS Cheer.

KFC Malaysia is extremely proud of their team which consisted of Razlan Bin Mahmud, Muhammad Khairulrizam Bin Achmad, Razzi Bin Muhidin, Mohd Nizam Bin Abdul Samat, Mohd Jubir Bin Abu Bakar, all from Sabah, Mahathir and Mohd Azhar from Sarawak. They were led by Team Coach Nadhirah Sin Yan Yan.

As for Team Pizza Hut Malaysia, members consisted of Mohd Fadzil Bin Alwi, Meor Muhammad Fakhrulrazzi, Mohd Sharul Izzudin Bin Mohd Ali, Mohammad Fitri Bin Ishak, Adhar Bin Baharuddin, Christianus Henry, and Nurnabilla Bt. Mokhsin. They were led by Team Coach Roslinda Bt. Ahmad Peraal. The team competed against six other teams from Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Taiwan.

Pizza Hut Malaysia won six awards comprising of Best Champs Cheer, Best Speed of Service, Best Hospitality, Best Customer Service Representative, Best Back of House, and Best Rider.
The Regional Champs Challenge is a mini-Olympic that seeks to find KFC and Pizza Hut Teams that are “maniacal about delivering 101 percent customer satisfaction”. The event is aimed at reinforcing a high level of standard in KFC and Pizza Hut.

The awards ceremony was held at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort in Tuaran, Sabah on the 20th of November 2014.
