Meticulously crafted by the hotel’s team of creative chefs, the noteworthy new highlights are Steam baked turkey stuffed with fresh chestnuts, ham and vegetables, served with yam rice; and Mustard crusted U.S. Kurobuta pork rack with smoked gravy, pickled cabbage-apples and potato gratin. Sweet rewards can be found in the Jivara chocolate, passionfruit and mango log cake; Salted caramel nuts cake; Petite hazelnut Christmas tree and the adorable Push pop cake collection – Chocolate raspberry and Vanilla strawberry.

The hotel’s stalwart dining establishments – Gordon Grill, Coffee Lounge, L’Espresso and Min Jiang will also present Christmas and New Year set menus and lavish buffet spreads. A special festive room package also offers guests the perfect opportunity to spend the holiday season in this iconic heritage hotel.

Takeaway gourmet treats will be available at the Deli from 1 to 26 December 2014. Advance orders of three working days are required and guests may visit the Deli from 9am to 9pm daily to place their takeaway orders. NEW TREATS FROM THE DELI! (1 to 26 December 2014)

Steam baked turkey stuffed with fresh chestnuts, ham and vegetables, served with yam rice | $198 for eight to 12 persons

The hotel’s Asian-inspired turkey creations are always much sought-after during the festive season, and this succulent masterpiece is no different. Created by Executive Chef Foo Jong Kwang, this unique turkey is a winning combination of tender meat stuffed with freshly peeled whole chestnuts, black mushrooms, bamboo shoots, carrots and spring onions. The dish is redolent with comforting and robust tastes from the oyster sauce-braised vegetables and fragrant jin hua ham – a cured speciality from Zhejiang. The two-hour steam bake process ensures ultimate succulence and retention of flavours. It is coated with glistening gravy made from drippings and served with homemade yam rice.

Mustard crusted U.S. Kurobuta pork rack with smoked gravy, pickled cabbage-apples and potato gratin | $368 for six to eight persons

Sure to send any roast pork lover to delirious joy is this traditional favourite done to a perfect crisp and impeccably paired with zesty cabbage. The chef’s homemade smoked gravy is the understated but memorable sidekick.

Jivara chocolate, passionfruit and mango log cake | $68 for 1kg

This gorgeous centrepiece features a crown of eye-catching ‘rocks’ made of dark chocolate sponge cake and white chocolate ‘crisps’. Beneath lies layers of Jivara chocolate with passionfruit mousse, passionfruit jelly, almond sponge, mango cheese cake and a digestive biscuit base.

Salted caramel nuts cake | $38 for 500g

This sturdy serving of caramel pound cake layered with creamy salted caramel and almonds is generously coated with a nutty milk chocolate glaze, decorated with whole almonds and dainty dark chocolate squares.

Petite hazelnut Christmas tree | $16 per piece

Inspired by the religieuse – a confection made from choux pastry cases piped with cream and stacked to resemble a nun’s habit, this miniature delight is made with three hazelnut cream-filled cases. To recreate a ‘snow-capped’ look, layers of white chocolate glazed marzipan are used.

The push pop cake collection – Chocolate raspberry and Vanilla strawberry | $9.80 per piece

Reminiscent of childhood times are these adorable push pop cakes that will no doubt entertain the young ones and adults alike! There are two flavours – Chocolate raspberry and Vanilla strawberry available. They are great for personalised gifting as guests can write their names on the cheerful packaging stickers.

Forest berries crumble with meringue and vanilla sauce | $58 for six persons

A classic crumble cake is paired with meringue topped with fresh blueberries, blackberries and raspberries.

Whole roast duck with barbecue sauce and plum sauce | $68 for four to six persons

A delicious Asian addition to the celebration that goes perfectly with a beer or two!

Boneless gammon ham with vanilla-pineapple sauce | $188 for 12 to 15 persons

No celebration is complete without a bite of this rosy-hued ham. Gammon is made from the hind leg of the pig and is purported to be very tender.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Turkey ‘ngoh hiang’ with sweet sauce | $28 for 2 rolls

An alternative take on the popular Asian speciality, the turkey ‘ngoh hiang’ is the perfect party food as it is easily served as small bites. Besides chopped turkey breast, yam, water chestnut, carrots and prawns, Canadian streaky bacon; which imparts a festive touch and lovely smoked flavour, is also added. These handmade crispy rolls pair impeccably with sweet sauce.

Goodwood D24 durian Christmas log cake | $64 for 1kg

A perennial favourite, this 1-kg treat promises lashings of creamy durian goodness within layers of vanilla sponge.

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS COMBOS
Besides the extensive selection of a la carte Christmas treats, Goodwood Park Hotel also offers attractively-priced and convenient takeaway Combo Specials.

The Traditional Christmas Combo ($310 / usual price $392) includes Traditional Christmas turkey with stuffing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce, Honey glazed boneless ham with vanilla-pineapple sauce, Traditional Christmas chocolate log cake, two gingerbread figurines, and a jar of homemade Christmas cookies. The Local Christmas Combo ($265 / usual price $336) consists of Steam baked turkey stuffed with fresh chestnuts, ham and vegetables served with yam rice, Turkey ‘ngoh hiang’ with sweet sauce, D24 durian Christmas log cake, two gingerbread figurines, and a jar of homemade Christmas cookies.
