SPICE-UP WITH BANANA LEAF RICE AT EMPIRE HOTEL SUBANG

October 16, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Banana leaf rice, much loved by Malaysians, is now available at Kitchen Art Brasserie, Empire Hotel Subang for the whole month of October in conjunction with Deepavali – the festival of lights. Fried Chicken, fish sambal, chicken curry, mutton paratel, mutton marsala, and fried fish are among some of the dishes that are available to accompany a serving of banana leaf rice meals along with an assortment of vegetables, all cooked in typical South Indian style.

According to Executive Chef Syed Alsagoff, many compliments were received on the curries prepared by our kitchen on regular days when the buffet is served and for special events.

“ We have been getting a lot of requests for the curries we serve here.”
“This will be a real treat for our customers – a grand serving of banana leaf rice where they can sample all our popular curries and spicy delights not served here before.”
“As Deepavali is celebrated on 22nd October, it will also be an opportune time for families and friends to get together and enjoy this truly Malaysian favourite, dining in the comfort of our hotel” adds Chef Syed.
“This will also be a great experience for our foreign guests who would like to sample some of the typical cuisine enjoyed by locals.”

Banana leaf rice meals are available at Kitchen Art Brasserie, Empire Hotel Subang for the whole month of October at RM18.80++ onwards (ala carte). There will also be a Diwali Hi-Tea on 22nd October at RM68++ (per adult) and RM48++ (per child).
