JOHNNY ROCKETS @ AVENUE K

August 6, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Following the opening of its maiden outlet in The Curve, Johnny Rockets continues to cement its place in the local fast food scene with the launch of another branch at Avenue K. The new outlet trumps the first in term of size and customers can see more of its retro red and white themed interior and chequered floor tiles plastered all over it, better immersing them in the experience of timeless, feel-good American comfort food.

Avenue K Johnny Rockets joins more than 35 planned dining options in the newly remodeled complex that serves as an epicenter for those who live and work in the city. Conveniently positioned in a sprawling center surrounded by a large cluster of residential towers and close to a vast number of office towers, Johnny Rockets is poised to benefit from an extensive swath of consumers seeking the brand’s all-American fare.

Having the tagline “The Original Hamburger”; you will be definite to enjoy their lovely burgers together with their milkshake for sure. While you are waiting for your food or even enjoying your meals, you will be surprised with the singing and performances from the designated staff cruising you to YMCA and some good old American classics.

Something more different from the usual fries, try their Bacon Cheese Fries (RM15.90) which is definite to add more flavours to your American fries where it is being topped with the beef bacon and melted sharp cheddar cheese. Not alke the usual fries; their fries is larger in size, deep fried till perfection with the golden brown; the texture comes cruncy at the outside.

Spicy Naked Rocket Wings (RM22.90) is another item which is being served in Johnny Rocket. The chicken wings are well marinated with the traditional spicy chicken barbecue sauce and it is then being pan fried till perfection. The taste comes well with the combination of sweet, light spiciness and smoky taste.

Some greenies instead; try their Chicken Club Salad (RM17.90) which is a complete with loads of fibers and protein all in one. The fresh salad comes interestingly good where it is complete with the fresh green salad, olive, bell peppers, ripe tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese served over with chicken, tossed in sesame dressing. The chicken comes not too greesy but the healthy salad not disappoint us too.

Being in Johnny Rockets; we should have our burgers. The burger patties here are made from 100% imported meat and it is fresh to order. Added with the special seasoning; the patty is complete with the juiciness with the beefy sensation.

For those, who love some light food, try their Tuna Melt (RM17.90). The Tuna Melt is showcasing tuna, cheddar cheese which is being sandwiched between the choice of the white bread or wholemeal bread.

Philly Cheese Steak comes next where the stuffing comes generous and all of it are well grilled till perfection. The grilled is simply wonderful and adding in some colors with the grilled onions, bell peppers and cheddar cheese in the hoogie roll full to the brim. It is simply juicilicious and a heavy meal though where the dish comes with the generous portion of fries with it.

For those who can’t take beef; try their Chicken Philly Cheese Steak (RM23.90) instead. The perfectly grilled thin slices of chicken are topped together with the grilled onions, bell peppers and cheddar cheese served in hoagie roll. Served together with it includes the fries and coleslaw which is simply delicious.

Need some kick? Try their “The Houston” (RM 25.90) chicken burger. The burger served with thick slice succulent chicken patty jalapeno peppers, pepper Jack cheese, crisp coral lettuce, fresh tomato slice and spicy sauce. The burger come juicy but is not very spicy to my expectation.

Never leave Johnny Rockets without a glass of their famous milkshake. Comes with a variety of flavours to choose from vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, banana and coffee milkshake to name a few. All their milkshake are served with four scopes of imported ice cream all the way from US. What I love about their milkshake is where it is well blended with four scopes of ice cream which gives us a rich, creamy and milky chilly milkshake. Oh is so good..

So, head over to Johnny Rockets for more tantalizing dining experience for their milkshakes and burgers.
