HÄAGEN-DAZS CELEBRATES EXQUISITE MOMENTS OF TOGETHERNESS WITH THE PERFECT GIFT OF MOONCAKES THIS MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL

August 8, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Every year, we encounter bliss and exquisite moments of togetherness during the Mid- Autumn Festival, when friends and families come together to enjoy each other’s company. There is a Chinese saying that this gathering brings to life the proverb, “Yue Yuan Hua Hao” or “Blossoms under the Full Moon” which represents a picturesque scene of beauty and fullness. Inspired by this picture perfect scene, Häagen-Dazs introduces their all-new Mooncakes – a range of exquisitely crafted ice cream mooncakes, perfect for gifting and for indulgence.

The new range of Häagen-Dazs ice cream mooncakes feature two exceptional designs embossed on specially made chocolate plates – one featuring a full moon, and the other a blooming peony. Both designs, when presented together, depict a beautiful wholesomeness.

The iconic ice cream craftsmanship of Häagen-Dazs comes together with the fine palette of a Michelin-star Chef, for the new ice cream Mooncakes. This year, four slow-melting ice cream flavors take the stage with two new delectable bases. The first Häagen-Dazs ice cream mooncake base is a luscious chocolate crunch, which is paired with the Häagen-Dazs Chocolate ice cream or the Häagen-Dazs Cookies and Cream ice cream. The second ice cream mooncake base is a scrumptious cheesecake crumble base, which is paired with Häagen-Dazs Macadamia Nut ice cream or Häagen-Dazs Strawberry ice cream. Encased in smooth chocolate coating, each of these handcrafted treasures house a refreshing mango sorbet that represents the ‘yolk’, embedded at the center of the Häagen- Dazs ice cream Mooncake.

Quotes Mr. Narubodee Wathanakom, the Head of Marketing for General Mills of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Asia Distributor Markets, “At Häagen-Dazs, we pride ourselves in defining ways for our customers to enjoy ice cream. Gift-giving is an integral part of the Mid- Autumn festival tradition. This year, we wanted to go back to the roots of this traditional festival and help cultivate the importance of gift giving and togetherness. We hope these beautiful Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Mooncakes will be the perfect gift of wholesomeness that will bring loved ones together for a heart-warming celebration.”

From 1st August 2014 to 14th September 2014, these limited edition Häagen-Dazs ice cream mooncakes will be available at all Häagen-Dazs shops and selected Mid-Autumn Festival events.
