JUADAH KAMPUNG WITH A TANTALISING SPREAD AT CHATZ BRASSERIE AT PARKROYAL KL

May 7, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Don’t have the time to head back home to break fast with family? Chatz Brasserie at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur offers a spread of mouth-watering choices, reminiscing village-style cooking.

Breaking fast reminds one of the variety of dishes a mother would prepare at home. At Chatz Brasserie, a wide spread of ‘kampung’ dishes will be prepared by our skilled chefs to satisfy the taste buds of those who are far away from home. Walk through our buffet consisting of Kerabu, Ulam, Gulai, Grilled Fish, Satay, Ayam Percik, Briyani, local desserts alongside a multitude of dishes.

The choices of Kerabu such as Nasi Kerabu, Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Kerabu Ikan Bilis and Kerabu Jantung Pisang are appetisers that will tease your taste buds before you move over to the Ulam section. Ulam Raja, Daun Selom Pucuk Ubi, Pucuk Pegaga, Terung Pipit and Nangka Muda are among the authentic choices not to be missed. Savour the traditional Bubur Lambuk Sayuran, a Malay porridge cooked with mixed herbs and spices before beginning with the main course.

As you are spoilt for choices for the main course, dish out the Gulai Kawah Ikan Tongkol and Daging Tetel before making the next stop at the Grilled section. Here, you can find assorted fish and cockles grilled and served with homemade sauces such as Sos Asam, Sos Kicap Pedas, Thai Chilli Sauce and Kalasan Sauce. The KL Satay is a must have during the break of fast. Chicken, beef and tripe are prepared before the diners and are eaten with rice dumplings, onion, cucumber and peanut gravy.

Dishes such as Ikan Masin Lemak Nenas, Ikan Duri Masak Berlada, Rendang Paru dan Hati, Masak Lomak Telur Itik, Kambing Kurma, Sotong Sambal Petai, Ayam Masak Cili Madu and Kari Kepala Ikan Berbendi remind diners the feeling of dining back home in the village with family. A special dish that should not be missed is the juicy Ayam Percik which is roasted to perfection with spices and sauces that are prepared by our talented chefs. Marination is done a day earlier to allow the chicken sufficient time to absorb the spices and ingredients. Briyani is also available and served with beef or chicken, along with fruit pickle, Dhalcha and Papadom.

Before spoiling yourself with dessert, the Goreng-goreng section tempts diners with freshly fried Keledek, Pisang, Keladi and Sukun along with Kicap Lada, Kacang Tumbuk and Brown Sugar. The Apam Balik, filled with cream corn, ground peanuts and sugar are among the choices to begin dessert. Finally, to complete your satisfaction, the Bubur Kacang Hijau Durian will definitely delight you with chunks of durian flesh in your green bean porridge.

With four menus on rotation daily, ‘Juadah Kampung’ at Chatz Brasserie is available from 29 June to 27 July, from 7:00pm to 10:30pm daily. The buffet is priced at RM125 nett per adult and RM62.50 nett per child.
