RITCHIE CAFÉ AND GRILL, SOLARIS MONT KIARA: REASONABLE PRICED WESTERN DELIGHTS TO TRY OFF

January 1, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Ritchie Café and Grill is one of the restaurant located at Month Kiara. Chef Richard who himself passionate on its cooking and had been traveling all over the world had made a comeback to Malaysia to have its own restaurant. Chef Richard bringing the experience during his working in the ship back to Malaysia.

Combining his experience during the days with the Malaysian cuisine, Chef Richard brings us with his own created combined with his hometown recipes –from Sabah to be served in its menu.

E-20131219-38

Started with the Mushroom Soup (RM 9.90), the mushroom is well blend with 3 types of mushroom which includes the button mushroom, Portobello mushroom as well as sataki mushroom for 1 hour. BY using the wild mushrooms, the mushroom soup is amazingly delicious and filled with hearty chopped mushrooms. The creamy and rich and Chef Richard had drizzled of with white truffle oil on top just before serving that makes the whole-hearted mushroom soup simply fragrant and luxurious.

Next served is the Portobello Mushroom served with Beef Bacon (RM 15.90) . The delicious beef being barbequed and laid on top of the Portobello mushroom. Baked together with the mozzarella cheese on top, the dish brings us to a more creamy taste of the mushroom with the added balsamic reduction in top.
E-20131219-74

The Giant Chicken Satay (RM 17.90) brings us to a surprise. The six skewer of long huge satay is served together with the peanut sauce, onions and cucumber with it. Bringing us with the tender and juicy meat, it is just fun having the long skewer of the meaty satay itself.

After having the appetizer, do try their refreshing palate cleanser ( RM 3.00) too. The mix -berry sorbet with the added strawberry sauce is simply refreshing to try off as well. Added with the fresh strawberry on top of it too.

The Ritchie’s Rich Chef’s Special Spaghetti (RM 17.90) brings us with the special homemade spaghetti. Cooked al-dente, the spaghetti is cooked together with lemongrass, gingerflower as well as a generous amount of clams in it. Deliciously made with the impressive taste is just perfect.

E-20131219-107
Next comes the lamb shank where Ritchie Lamb Shank ( RM 39.90) where Chef had made the brown sauce from the scratch and the overall duration to prepare the dish is taking around 3-4 hours. With this, the lamb meat is tender and juicy as it is without leaving any gammy taste in it.
E-20131219-114
Ended with something oriental which is the One One Soup (Price: RM 16.90). The bihun is cooked together with the red snapper fillet which is being deep fried till golden brown and it is added with sour plum in the soup leaving the sourish delights. The One One Soup is slight shortfall as the One One Noodles is slightly salty to my preference.
