THE ELITE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, PETALING JAYA: NOT JUST SEAFOOD

January 21, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

The Elite Seafood Restaurant (formerly known as Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant) is one of the restaurant to visit for Chinese New Year. We are lucky getting a sample of their Chinese New Year set menu, as well as choice dim sum dishes. The Elite Restaurant is simply a place to sample the freshness seafood where they have their seafood caught from the tank to serve to you. Not only that, they have the experts of chefs hailing from as far as China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

This time around, Elite Restaurant brings us with their Poon Choy pot which comes in the huge bowl. The huge bowl of delights comes with big chunk of goodies which where they give us a unique flavors. Being that, the poon choy comes with layers of goodies which is from abalone, scallops, mushrooms, fish maw, to big prawns and many more. Hidden beneath is also the braised pork with lots of fats in it. With the abalone sauce infused in the soup, the taste is really good. Sinfully delicious and my tummy is drooling !
Price: RM 488.00 (10pax)/ RM248 (5 pax)

Coming next is the Abalone, Salmon and Snow pear Yee Sang. A toss of prosperity is here. This time, we had them with goodies which are the abalone together with the Yee Sang. Comparable to other Yee Sang, there is not much different except it comes with the abalone. The sweet and sourish taste of the yee sang does not disappoint me too

We also have the Fried Glutinous Rice with Wax Meat. Covered with the Wax Meat, fragrant Sausages, intestines and bacon together, the glutinous rice is being cooked with it leaving the sticky filling taste.

We had the crispy siew yok. The siew yok is simply tempting my tastebuds with the crispy skin and the moist and tender texture of the meat. Bringing us with the tempting and heavenly delights, I could not say “NO” and don’t mind for the additional calories added.

Fatt Choy Fish Ball (RM8.80) is one of the items we tried at their dim sum selection. The fish balls are fresh and bouncy too which I love the most.

The steam prawn dumpling (RM 9.80) is another good selection to have for dim sum here too. Huge in size with the heavenly big prawns inside, the taste is sinfully delicious and good.

Deep Fried Yam Puff (RM8.80)

Pan Fried Radish Cake (RM 8.80) is where it is being deep fried and chef added some meat floss on top too.

This is heavenly- The Steamed Siew Mai with Abalone ( RM 12.80) . The siew mai which is being steamed with minced meat and minced prawn together and then it is topped with a little abalone on top making me so tempted to grab one too.

The fried Nian Kao (RM 6.80) is usually served in Chinese New Year dishes where the nian kao is being cut till thin slices and coated with egg. It is then being deep fried till crunchiness. Leaving the delicious texture with the crunchy bites.

Last but not least is the Baked Egg Tart with Bird’s nest. The delicious bird nest served with the egg tart is sinfully food and it is nice and perfect. Good stuff and I am loving it.

The restaurant is simply a great place for dining where they have a wide selection of dishes available. However, they still maintains the unique characteristics that have long made Ah Yat an all-time favourite among seafood enthusiasts. Owned by Unique Seafood Group of Restaurants – one of Malaysia’s largest suppliers of live seafood – diners can rest assure that there is always a fresh and abundant supply of seafood at the restaurant.
