6th PUTRAJAYA INTERNATIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON FIESTA INTRODUCES NEW LAIDBACK EXPERIENCE WITH PICNIC AREA

January 30, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

The 6th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2014 will return to its home in Precinct 2, Putrajaya this coming March. The wholesome family fun affair will be held once again over the course of four days from March 27th to 30th, featuring another amazing line-up of international balloonists and a new variety of attractions and side events. One of the highlights to look forward to at this year’s Fiesta is the newly introduced Picnic Area.

The Picnic Area

The Picnic Area is 2014’s latest addition to the Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta’s list of exciting activities. A few meters away from the Blue Zone – the balloon launching field, and adjacent to the lively Mountain Dew Extreme Zone, lies an intimate grassy area with a stunning view of the Putrajaya lake. This year, the Fiesta team has decided to open up a new experience that all visitors may enjoy.

Welcome to the Picnic Area, where friends and families may lie on the soft grass and enjoy a cool cup of iced cappuccino while taking a big bite out of your yummy chicken sandwich, as gigantic multi-colored balloons drift past you in the skies above and the fresh Putrajaya air fills your senses ever so sweetly.

The ultimate way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, what better way to enjoy your weekends than by relaxing at the Picnic Area, entertained by the smooth sounds of a three-piece band that will be accompanying the picnic F&B outlets.

Deck out in your best picnic outfits, bring a yarn basket filled with yummy snacks, or opt to purchase food from the tantalizing breakfast menu whilst stretching out on checkered picnic mats, all the while enjoying the beautiful skyline of hot air balloons drifting by.

Acknowledging those eager visitors of the Fiesta who arrive early but with empty stomachs, the Fiesta organizers are introducing an available for pre-order breakfast set called the ‘Balloon & Breakfast’.

Balloon & Breakfast sets will only be available bright and early from 6.30 a.m. until 10 a.m. and features a two of a kind set menu of your choice, inclusive of a signature brewed coffee. (Did we mention free refills for brewed coffee?) The Picnic Area will then continue serving signature made-to-order meals from a live kitchen from 10.00am – 7 p.m. Admission to the Fiesta is free. The Balloon & Breakfast sets will be available for pre-order via the Fiesta website, www.myballoonfiesta.com.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic mats to ensure a spot in the Picnic Area, and hop on to all the available public transportations. For those who wish to find out more, visit www.myballoonfiesta.com, or follow their Facebook page, Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, and their Instagram & Twitter account, both @myballoonfiesta.

Do not miss this incredible breathtaking experience and have your own Breakfast with Balloons, only at the 6th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Precinct 2, Putrajaya, coming to you this 27th to 30th March 2014.

The Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2014 is organized by AKA Balloon Sdn. Bhd, Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) and the Malaysian Sports Aviation Federation (MSAF).
