RESTAURANT SAY HUAT, SECTION 17: TIME FOR SOME CHAR KOAY TEOW & PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE

November 3, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Say Huat Restaurant is one of the popular kopitiam in section 17. It is easily spotted with the Wai Sek Kai just in front and they have a variety of food to enjoy there. You can grab the economy rice, Claypot chicken rice, laksa and more. One of mine favorites there will be always the Robert’s Char Koay Teow as well as the Thai Food there.

The char koay teow here by the name “ Robert Char Koay Teow” is indeed a famous stall though. The dish came with a few prawns, slices of Chinese sausage and cockles and of course, lard too. Just perfectly stir fried, and the umph is there. Robert CKT up to my expectation.
Price: RM 4.50

We did order the Pineapple Fried Rice from the Thai Stall. The texture is perfectly done where it is moist and the spoces just perfectly absorb within the rice. Well fried with chilly, onions, pineapples, egg and some medium size prawns. The fried rice is simply fragrant and tasty.
Price: RM 5.50
